As writen above I was not directly impressed with the art pieces since many were unknown to me. In the really cool setting of the old swimming center it gave me some.interesting new insights. For example I loved the work of chana orloff. A must go!

Museum "La Piscine" in Roubaix was built as art-deco swimming pool in 1932 and served social and hygienic purposes. After closure in 1985 it was renovated and opened as very special museum in 2001. While keeping part of the swimming bath and many ornamental elements.
Collection of art (sculptures and paintings) stemming from several centuries is housed on two floors.
Temporary exhibition & retrospective Eugène Dodeigne brings a beautiful overview in ainting, drawing and sculpture spanning his carreer. (Oct 12, 2024 – Jan 12, 2025). Take also not of b&w photographs the artist made of his sculptures. Background about choice of stone, bronze, wood, and other material is provided with care.
A must-do exhibition.

Lille is at the centre of a sprawling metropolis, but the super-efficient metro system will get you to Roubaix for an unmissable visit to this wonderful museum. The museum is about 8 minutes’ walk from the SNCF and metro stations.
Apart from a great collection of artwork, the museum’s highlight is undoubtedly its setting, where the old corridors, changing cubicles and pool have been transformed into a perfect showcase.
There’s an independent restaurant on site, but it offers only lunches (ie no coffee and cake).
Allow an hour plus for the visit.

Night of the Arts at the Museum of...
A splendid museum in an unusual place, full of splendid works.
Which I would recommend unreservedly if it were not for the unacceptable welcome of the staff. Incompetent, contemptuous, haughty, even aggressive, whose ultimate purpose seems to have the place emptied as quickly as possible after the last concert!
Must be avoided until management and staff are replaced by human beings sensitive to their function of benevolence and courtesy...

La Piscine finally gave up stacking 8 exhibitions at the same time to return to the presentation of a work! Well the current exhibition is dedicated to Eugène Dodeigne .. as much as I appreciated the works of youth I was not at all sensitive to his large format and rather raw works. But the scenography gives a good idea of his entire work. It’s interesting. And the old part of the museum still remains magical.

This museum is truly unique, so beautiful that a museum has been created in this former swimming pool. There are many discover nooks with art, around the pool in the former changing rooms. There are also many other exhibition spaces with paintings and sculptures.
We wanted to have a cup of coffee, but we couldn't. The restaurant was only for diners and it looked a bit dated. Everything smelled like soup.

The former Roubaix municipal swimming pool was built by Albert Baert between 1927 and 1932 in an art deco style. It was rehabilitated as a museum of art and industry in 2001, then enlarged in 2018 by Jean-Paul Philippon.

Absolutely dirty parking and impossible to pay for its place so huge waste of time. An average welcome and absolutely nothing but a restaurant to eat.

A beautiful walk in this original place. We loved it. The welcome was nice and the Collections interesting. We'll come back as a family when our kids grow up.

Bonjour, quelles sont les possibilités de parking aux alentours du musée? J'ai cru comprendre qu'il fallait se garer à la gare. Y a-t-il toujours de la place? Prix pour une journée? OU avez-vous une autre solution de parking aux alentours. Merci pour vos réponses.

Parking aux alentours et 11 euros entre si il ya expo temporaire la actuellement 2 sinon 9 euros prix habituel

Bonjour !’ Oui le pass est bien valable pour l'accès au Musée. Consultez l’Office du Tourisme de Lille où le personnel est accueillant et de très bon conseil ! Bonne visite !
