Nous étions aprti avec de gros manteaux car beaucoup de vent et en hiver , mais aprés 1h de marche nous nous étions retrouver en Tshirt et manteaux à la main , c était magique de voir tous ces si belles vues

Superbe mais Attention rien a changer depuis 2018 pour les vols.
Notre.vitre arrière était cassée a notre retour de balade et nos affaires pourtant dans le coffre avaient disparu.
Idem pour une voiture allemande. Pourtant parking du bois joli est en face l entrée du camp militaire en bordure de route RD559 route de la gineste.
La gendarmerie indique que cela se produit quotidiennement. Bref réveillon de fin d Annee out et ns avons refais nos 600kms directs pr rentrer puisque plus d habit et tout et tout . .Vive Marseille et la côte d azur.

Eine traumhafte Wanderung zu einer noch traumhafteren Bucht. Der Abstieg erfordert Trittsicherheit und die Steine sind ziemlich glatt weshalb Vorsicht geboten ist.

Con una bella scarpinata da Cassis si passa lungo Calanque de Port Miou e Port Pin poi si prende il sentiero panoramico con splendide vedute su queste meravigliose formazioni rocciose a picco sul mare e infine si scende passando per un tratto impegnativo sino a raggiungere questo angolo di paradiso dove l'acqua del mare ha colori fantastici

Magnifique, assez sportif, il faut etre bien équipé (eau, chaussures de marche) non adapté aux enfants et personnes agées

The walk to En Vau is a challenging one. All downhill on the way there and all uphill on the way back. Mostly track and road with some very steep rocky shortcuts. I wouldn’t take a child younger than 10 on that walk and on a hot day you’ll need about a litre of water per person for the walk, minimum. Despite the challenges with accessibility the beach was mobbed when we got there, it was like that Instagram trend where you think you’ll be finding a secluded beauty spot only you turn a corner and find the beach is mobbed with would be influencers, day trippers, rock climbers and canoeists there were even boats full of tourists and a fleet of kayaks in the bay.
The water was gorgeous and warm to swim in and the scenery was stunning, no doubt about that, but definitely spoiled by the number of visitors even at 4pm.
After the long climb back up the hill to the car we found that our car and other cars had their back windows smashed. Nothing stolen from our boot thank goodness but the police couldn’t care less. The lovely kind Euro Repair Car Service in Cassis covered our smashed window and hoovered the back seat event though they were in the middle of shutting the shop at 6pm.
Totally not worth the trip.

I had high expectations with a beautiful calm calanque and ready to take the 1.5 h hike trough heat and super calm winds and what I found was: Yes, a magnificent spot but very crowded where you could barely find a place to sit and many tourist boats coming in showing this spectacular bay. It is a stone beach and a pure tourist attraction no "nature" feeling at all for my taste. The hike was more remote and nature-like but well.. After all not really worth it unfortunately, it became a tourist magnet.

Magnifique calanque qui vaut le détour ! Baignade très rafraîchissante après la marche pour venir. L’accès est un peu compliqué ( très abrupte pour descendre) il faut de bonne chaussure et prendre de l’eau ! Il est mieux d’y arriver tôt le matin ( moins de monde)

Une ballade de 1 à 2 heures aller puis la même retour, le paysage est agréable. Une fois sur place la calanque est très belle, mais incroyablement bondé, on doit franchir un mur humain pour se baigner, de même pour s'allonger, il y avait au minimum une 30aîne de canoë qui trainait sur le côté, ce qui gâche une partie de la calanque . Cette calanque devrait définitivement être restreinte en nombre de visiteurs simultanés en haute saison, tout comme celle de Sugiton.

2h de marche pour une plage bondée, sans toilette donc on imagine bien ce que font les gens une fois arrivée dans l’eau! Difficile d’aller sur les côtés pour plonger tranquille, mieux vaut faire la calanque port pin, moins de marche et moins de monde

Tout dépend l'âge des enfants. Ce n'est pas une simple balade, mais une randonnée avec du dénivelé. La dernière partie pour descendre à la calanque (et pour la remonter après) n'est pas adaptée aux jeunes enfants. Mais des pré-ados peuvent y arriver.

Hello i am thinking of visiting the Calanque this summer with my family and would like to get a boat to take us around, we have small children and would be easier and faster with boat. Does anyone have any recommendations? Should i just go to the harbor and get a boat there for the day? or if you have used someone in the past could you send me some info? thanks.

Hey Belén, I definitely recommend renting a boat. This can t be done once in The Calanque, it has to be rented from Cassis and I would definitely take a boat since the path is somewhat dangerous for toddlers/ small kids.

Es ist kein Problem von Cassis-Hafen aus die Tour zu starten. Hin und Zurück benötigen Sie dann ca drei Stunden.

How hard is the walk to the calanque en vau for someone who has never hiked?

Für jemanden der noch nie gewandert ist und keine vernünftigen Schuhe hat würde ich den letzten Abstieg von 20 Minuten in die Bucht nicht empfehlen. Es ist sehr geröllig, steil und hat Stellen an den man etwas klettern muss oder alternativ sich auf den Hosenboden setzen muss. Schauen Sie sich die Fotos an, die ich extra hochgeladen habe ;-). Lg

Je crois bien que j'ai confondu le port de MARSEILLE (la
CANNEBIERE) et le port de CASSIS pour aller à la merveilleuse calanque d'EN-VAU. C'est lorsque nous avons visité les îles du
FRIOUL, au large de Marseille que nous sommes partis depuis
la cité phocéenne !!! je pense que c'est depuis CASSIS, que nous sommes partis pour EN-VAU !! j'aime bien corriger mes erreurs - Je confirme que le bateau emprunté nous a bien déposé sur la plage d'EN-VAU où nous avons passé une journée inoubliable, malgré la chaleur ......sorry pour ma petite erreur ...
