I love it here, really cozy welcoming pub. Great food options (although heads up no dining on a Monday). The chicken curry is perfect on a cold day. It is also dog friendly inside.

I have been quite a few times
The staff are really happy and helpful
The family that owns it are hands-on and makes sure that everything is running well.
The food is of a very high standard
And is one of the best dog friendly pubs that I have been to.

Nothing special. Usual selection of beers and the food overpriced. Clean and tidy, assume the bad reviews are not genuine. There are better options in the town…..

Absolutely love this pub, staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was gorgeous. Thank you for a fantastic experience. Will definitely be back!

Excellent ‘proper’ pub. Fantastic atmosphere….like stepping back in time……just how pubs should be. Friendly landlord who’s personality is reflected in the friendly staff. Excellent selection of beers. I’m guessing the people who left the poor reviews last year had a personal grudge against the landlord for whatever reason….the toilet for example is brand new.

Mouthy owner with an overinflated opinion of himself, expensive jumped up pub with a horrible atmosphere.
I'm sure it has an appeal for wannabee London wide boys and football yobs, but not for anyone else.
Treats covid as some sort of joke and clearly couldn't give a damn about anyones safety.
Avoid at all costs.

If you enjoy being surrounded by loud and mouthy football-watching yobs, then this is the place for you.
If you enjoy a pub that seems to treat Covid as a joke and ignores any mitigations at all then this is NOT the place for you.
They genuinely laugh at any pandemic prevention, seems to be a joke to them.
There's plenty of other options, just move on, you'll thank me later.

Really lovely staff but don’t think about it if your disabled. Steps are everywhere, even had problems with a pram. And a wheelchair user couldn’t even fit through the door of the toilets, which I’m sure is actually not allowed. If it’s not for wheelchair users they should have a sign before entering but then I suppose the big step outside is already a give away. We could get past the step but I thought toilet access was required by law?
