Informative exhibition on all topics related to the sea and the island of Norderney.
We (child, 9 and me) liked it a lot.
For us it was worth it and the mix of info on the ground floor and things to try and touch upstairs and outside was the right thing for us.
Maybe it's more interactive and smart, but I found it slowing down and enjoyable.

Wir konnten dort viel über die Natur und die Insel lernen und hatten durch das Quiz mit den Spielsteinen auch viel Spaß dabei. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder wenn unsere Kleine alt genug ist um selbst mal zu spielen :)

Interaktives und informatives Erlebnis für Klein und Groß. Wir haben die Ausstellung im Rahmen einer Führung (ca. 1 1/2 Stunden) und waren ganz begeistert.

sehr informativ und kurzweilig. Im Kino gibt es eine ganze Reihe von Kurzfilmen zu diversen Themen des Klimaschutzes, des Wattenmeeres und dessen Bewohner. An verschiedenen Stationen können diese Themen spielerisch vertieft werden. Für Rückfragen steht das geschulte Personal zur Verfügung. Wirklich top! Weiter sol!

Grundsätzlich nettes Konzept- man wandert mit Spielsteinen durch die Ausstellung und sammelt Punkte- aber äußerst mangelhafte Umsetzung: Viele Stationen funktionieren nicht richtig, die Endauswertung ebenfalls nicht, die Windmaschine auf dem Dach bewegt sich nicht mehr, die Infozettel der Mikroskopobjekte sind so lieblos am Rand angebracht ,dass man sie nicht unter die Linse bekommt- dazu so gut wie keine Anschauungsobjekte und viel Text- Enttäuschung auf ganzer Linie.

Qualitativ gut gemacht wenn auch nicht sehr gross. Das Erlebnis wurde jedoch getrübt denn wir hatten englischsprachige Freunde dabei. Am Eingang habe ich noch gefragt ob die Erklärungen auch in EN sind und es würde bejaht. Innen dann die Überraschung denn nur vereinzelt waren die Überschriften übersetzt. Für unsere Freunde leider eine grosse Enttäuschung. Wir haben so viel wie möglich übersetzt aber dennoch Schwäche Leistung. Wäre man am Eingang ehrlich gewesen hätten wir uns das sparen können.
Für deutschsprachige Besucher ist es sehr interessant.

Nicht nur für Regennachmittage lohnt sich der Besuch. Aufschlussreich und spielerisch wird hier alles rund ums Watt näher gebracht.

It is so well worth visiting this place. We did it when it rained. Cycled there, arrived about 2 in the afternoon and they almost threw us out at 5. We could have stayed longer. The children are 9, 7 and 5 and all really enjoyed it at their own level and learned so much.
Everything about this unique Wattenmeer habitat is covered, bird calls, animals, sea world, did you know that a lobster has two different claws ? You are allowed to put your hand into one basin and stroke the crabs. Loads of interaction on all topic tables.
Upstairs also worth taking in, perhaps more for the dads and older children. We tried to climb the Kornweihe = Hen Harrier, endangered in Germany, to get into her belly, but that is not for the faint hearted.
Don't miss out on this place, it is so recommended. I clicked " young children " but would have also clicked " teens " if it gave more options.
Also the length of visit, as you can see, we stayed 3 hours and were not bored.
