I can’t recommend Rea from Independent Snowboard School in Verbier enough! Great teacher, gained some super practical tips and was pushed out of my comfort zone just enough to really level up. Thanks for an epic time Rea, we will be back.

Independent Snowboarding provided very good personalized coaching for our son who competed throughout Switzerland during the season. Coach Lozyo can not only coach the tricks that our son was trying to learn but can also do/model the tricks with style. His excellent coaching helped our son achieve multiple podium finishes and, after this season, our son considers him a friend and mentor. We hope he has the opportunity to ride with Independent and Lozyo again next year!

Could not have been happier with my choice of a snowboard school here in Verbier! Roland was super knowledgeable, kindly pointed out gaps in my technique and ways to fix and adjust them. He safely took me freeriding and through incredible untouched powder runs, despite having been several days since the last snowfall. I have been riding for many years (16, to be exact), and he still pushed me to do things that were out of my comfort zone, but that I was still capable of! I'm so glad that I paid the extra money to learn from the best of the best- I've learned many things (even as an advanced rider) that I can take back home to practice and push myself. If you're having any doubts or difficulty finding a snowboard school in Verbier, I would look no past Independent Snowboard School- five out of five stars, and I would book again with them upon return to Verbier!

The first time I came across the independent school was when I was looking for an instructor to help me back to snowboarding after an injury. After several lessons, I have not only increased my confidence but also progressed a lot in my riding. All teaching has been done in extremely friendly manner keeping the true spirit of snowboarding, all thanks the brilliant instruction given by Roland. Now the independent school is my default choice to expand my snowboarding skills or to have fun. Each time we try something different, free-riding, freestyle or split-boarding, the number of options is truly unlimited.

I arrived in Verbier without having any course booked and luckily came across Independent Snowboard School with whom I was able to book a 3h beginner private lesson in the afternoon on the same day (my first day). The booking was super easy via phone and I paid through a link - thanks to Franziska for being so flexible and friendly! At 13:00 I met up with Roland, my snowboarding instructor, and I learned all the important basics while enjoying the beautiful view and having casual chats. Those 3h and Roland’s support and encouragement are the reason why I was able to snowboard with curves down the beginners hill on my third day. I had all the knowledge from Roland and just had to put it in motion. Thanks a lot for the great time, Roland! I can highly recommend Independent Snowboarding School for any beginners or also others who feel insecure and need support for starting again.

With a friendly call for a booking, and a relaxed and tailored lesson, this is a definite recommendation!
Met up with Roland for a private morning lesson, he was kind and understanding for my needs and goals. He helped me quickly get from struggling and quivering on a board, to comfortably taking turns and connecting them.

We’re advanced riders but decided to switch things up and take a lesson to help us progress our flatland tricks. Henry was an awesome instructor and we had a great time. Besides progressing during the lesson, he gave us ideas and suggestions for how to keep developing as the season goes on. Fresh motivation for a hobby I already love is priceless. Thank you, Henry!

! I would choose them a thousand more times, it was my first experience practicing Snow and Ladis made me feel very safe. If you are just starting out snowboarding I definitely recommend a class with them. Thank you Lalo for your patience!!

Snowboarding in Verbier with Steven was an absolute blast, I had two days with him and by the end I was handling red runs with ease. I didn’t expect to pick it up so quickly but Steve had a very relaxed and nice way of teaching me and I definitely recommend booking him for your snowboarding trip if your a beginner and want to learn quick and easy.
