After fishing there for a number of years I have been barred from fishing at Longacres , WHY ? I just dont know , Andrew is not forthcoming with what led him to that decision , it came right out of the blue , completely unexpected

Lovely day, we were very well looked after and very accommodating after we had to move our booking. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again next summer.

Had a mini fishing trip with my 13yr old son. Great location, lovely lodge which was spotless with good quality furnishings. Andrew and a friendly local chap called Derek could not do enough to welcome us, with Derek showing my son some fishing tips.
We’ll definitely be returning.

We are a family of 3, 2 adults with a 13 year old son who loves fishing. Longacre Fisheries provided everything we were hoping for - a very friendly welcome from Andrew and beautifully presented accommodation which was only steps away from the fishing lake. There’s a well stocked tackle shop right next to the lake.
We stayed in the Lakeview Lodge, a one bedroomed, ground floor apartment which was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and equipped with everything one would need to comfortably enjoy a self-catered break. The bathroom was fitted with a modern sink, loo and shower and lots of soft fluffy white towels. The kitchen (all black and white) has a kettle, toaster, microwave, electric oven and job, fridge, separate freezer and plenty of clean pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The comfortable lounge is equipped with a tv, a selection of dvds, coffee table and L-shaped sofa.
Longacre Fisheries is set in the most stunning Derbyshire countryside so, for those who don’t want to fish, there are plenty of little spots in which to sit, relax and enjoy the picturesque and peaceful surroundings.
Just a five minute drive away is The Tavern at Tansley, a beautiful country pub, which provides a varied menu, excellent service and welcomes families (and dogs).
Matlock, no more than a ten minute drive away, is a busy small town full of antique shops, pretty cafes, Sainsbury’s and the train station.
Thank you Andrew, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Longacre Fisheries and will most definitely book again.

The apartments are ideal for two persons. They are immaculate throughout and well set up for self catering. The scenery is stunning with open views across the countryside. Very quiet and peaceful. The host is friendly,helpful and informative. A little way out from Tansley, but an easy stroll into Tansley along attractive footpaths.We felt this weekend meet up was good value for money.

Longacre Fishery is open as normal.
Andrew was the perfect host. Cooked a lovely big full English breakfast. The accommodation was very well thought of. Very calming and a stunning view over the lake and country side. Andrew was willing to teach us how to fish if we wanted. Maybe next time.

Could not fault Andrew the owner or the apartment. And I do have high standards We stayed in the lakeside apartment which was perfect:- clean and tastefully designed, modern with absolutely everything you could need along with fabulous views. A plus for me was that my partner could step out on to the patio to fish whilst I could stay in the apartment! Quiet and picturesque location. Owner was available whenever needed but our stay remained very private. Excellent in all ways
