Some people are posting under the wrong TripAdvisor listing. In Seoul, there are two museums by essentially the same name. One ends in “Seoul,” and the other in “Korea.” They are at different locations and the collection are not very similar. I have been to both over the past few days.
The MMCA Korea collection is a little on the abstract and very interesting side. I will likely attach over one hundred photos of the works of art on display here.

I loved the gallery and the exhibition was fantastic! The gallery is well designed.
The exhibition was also well executed with skill and concept. It reflected current Korean society in a thoughtful and provocative display.

예전에도 가끔씩 가던 곳인데 전시 내용이 많이씩 바뀌지도 않고 기획전을 여러가지 많이 하는 곳이 아니다. 하지만 미술관 앞 잔디와 날씨 좋은 날 앉을 수 있는 곳이 좋아서 갑니다. 저 어릴 땐 없었던거 같은데 어린이 미술관도 있어 아이와 한번 쯤 방문하기도 좋고 그림 그리는 체험공간도 있어서 아이가 좋아했네요

Tre mostre in contemporanea e un prezzo bassissimo. Sicuramente una programmazione degna di un museo nazionale. Un edificio bello e funzionale Le spiegazioni sono, però, solo in coreano ed in inglese e i cataloghi delle mostre solo in coreano, peccato ! Dei bei negozi di articoli tradizionali e di souvenirs delle mostre e del museo. Merita veramente di essere visitato.

Large extensive grounds, interesting stores including one selling clothes repurposed from other clothes. The exhibitions were, well contemporary and I'll leave it at that.
Why the title? According to their website, the museum is supposed to open at 10:00 on Sunday, when I got there the sign said opens at noon, which is a bit frustrating on a hot sunny day.

Highly recommend visiting this wonderful museum. I had the chance to see a wonderful exhibition on Park Seobo and honestly I was amazed by it. I wish there would be a lot more discussion about modern contemporary Korean art.

The MMCA is a beautiful building is worth to visit only because of its Architecture the exhibitions i saw The Korean Artist price 2018 was pretty remarkable.

I used to be a frequent visitor to Seoul but recently have not had the opportunity to visit so I was excited to return to the city. Several friends suggested that I visit MMCA and raved about it.
It was much less than my expectations. Building is interesting but exhibits were boring. Too much empty space to wander around. Perhaps it was the time I visited. It is quite a distance from even Insadong, although it looks much closer on the map.and is definitely a destination visit. I love modern art but unfortunately this is not one of the best museums I have found.

[세상에 눈뜨다: 아시아 미술과 사회 1960s-1990s] 전시에서 아시아의 현대, 사회참여적 미술의 역사를 볼 수 있었습니다. 서구 현대미술을 답습하여 아시아의 현실로부터 벗어난 형식주의 대신 당대의 현실을 적극적으로 반영하고 주체적인 표현 방법을 찾으려했던 것이 인상적이었습니다.
전시 관람 후에는 미술관 내의 카페에서 잠시 시간을 보냈는데 쾌적했습니다.
