First, there are plenty of books here in a fair-sized library that also houses the Citizens Advice Bureau, a nursery school, internet cafe, and a coffee shop that does amazing cakes! Staff are very friendly and helpful, and there are DVDs to hire too.If you want to drag yourself away from Google or Wikipedia, then this library is the place to go and research the old-fashioned way!

Reading has to be the easiest way of learning...the staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, the many different areas and types of books are wonderful...this library acts also in other areas to help and assist people to learn, study, etc, very helpful beyond to norm...

Centraal in Truro gelegen ‘gewone’ bibliotheek. De bib is gevestigd in een monumentaal gebouw waarvan de gevel tijdens ons bezoek wegens restaurantje i de steigers stond. Dat maakt het natuurlijk minder aantrekkelijk. Ook het interieur is aan een opknapbeurt toe. De collectie boeken is echter dik in orde met vele titels, ook op minder gangbare onderwerpen. Vriendelijk personeel.

I came here several times to use their computers and printer.
Computers are upstairs. You need to bring in a library card from another library if you do not live locally. You are given a code to access the internet and you get one free hour per day.
I used their photocopier as well.
I was slightly disappointed with the staff. The more senior female members I found unfriendly and rather abrupt in their manner when I was asking questions. I felt that they just wanted me to go away and leave them in peace! I used to work in public libraries and I was always friendly and approachable. Times are clearly changing!

An old historical building built in 1877 that had been renovated extensively and modernized inside but important features retained inside to give it so much character ! A really lovely building!
A fabulous area for children and nice seating areas for adults. A quiet study room for students.
If I lived in Truro I would visit it often ! Great staff also! We got an informative tour.

I visited the library to renew my bus pass since moving from Sussex. I found it was much easier as I did not have to supply a picture, they have facility to take your photo when you apply. In this old building one can find a beautiful mosaic tiled floor,there are places to sit and read local and daily newspapers. Well worth a visit.

Loads of books, helpful staff, a computer room with half hour free use at least. Cafe on site. Occasionally hosts lectures and workshops. What's not to love? As for 'When did you travel?' - I visit the library so often I sometimes feel I should move my bed in there.

It's almost like visiting family! Friendly, helpful staff operating everything you would expect in a library and numerous extra activities. Their own nature garden, a good cafe, lectures and arts and crafts, Father Christmas on late shopping nights, brilliant weekly children's activities. In addition, located in a building of local historic interest.
