A simple, spiritual church with Saxon minimalism. We sat inside for some while to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere.

Tiny and ancient, well worth a quick detour - also in a lovely spot by the river and opposite the ‘modern’ medieval main church. Makes you feel quite small. Not bad for a tiny old building, very well restored.

The "Saxon Church" of St. Laurence is a lovely and well preserved Anglo-Saxon (pre-Norman) church. It is simple but charming and over 1000 years old. It is in the heart of the town of Bradford-on-Avon, near the bigger, newer Holy Trinity Church, and an easy walk from parking.

We stumbled upon this fabulous Saxon church in the heart of Bradford on Avon. a builsing so old, and in such perfect condition, is remarkable. Thanks must got to all who care for it.

This church is very small but worth a visit!. I loved it because it was so old and a well used church.

It was overwhelming to think of believers worshipping in this church so long ago. I would highly recommend a stop in here while in Bradford on Avon. It is beautiful and peaceful and gave me a new perspective on the Church. I would also recommend dropping into other nearby churches. They are all different and special.

This church is such a gem! Everyone should visit this wonderfully simple building which dates back to 709AD. The beautiful, simple interior has a real elegance from over 1300 years. It is a place for quiet contemplation and wonder of what has taken place in this elegant building.
