Bradford on Avon is a very really busy little town lots of quirky shops. Down buy the canal & lock is very quiet & peaceful even when plenty of boats using the lock.

Small wharf with a few narrowboats and a cafe. Peaceful location. There was a barge tour if you wanted to goon that. Nice location, we had a cup of tea and watched the narrowboats going through the locks.

Particularly in summer, when the holiday boaters, are around more, watching novices try to navigate he lock is totally fascinating.

Just on the edge of the town, this is a good place to see the boats going through the lock. Unfortunately, it was raining when we visited, but the cafe and garden are well positioned to see the tranquil water activities.

A very wet Sunday afternoon, but it didn’t affect our trip at all. The crew were fantastic, absolutely soaking wet , but happy , helpful and informative.
Covid rules were enforced even though we ( group of 5) were the only passengers. Very relaxing trip , there is a bar , hot drinks and snacks on board , lovely cup of tea too . We will definitely be back 😁

A nice place to watch all the boats go by and have some coffee and sandwiches. It is a nice place to go on a sunny day.

Heading west we threaded the needle in our narrow boat, through the maze of other boats and entered this lovely lock area. It was buzzing with Gongoozalers on this sunny day, all enjoying the activity on the canal. The Canal Trust volunteers were very helpful and friendly. Full marks for their expertise and enthusiasm. Once through the lock we moored up alongside the magnificent Tithe Barn and went off to explore this lovely town. Must go back again and spend some more time there.

Good mooring, lock volunteers on hand to help and very helpful. Short walk in to town with plenty of places to eat/drink

I'm bringing an elderly lady, in wheelchair for day out, she loves canals, is there any coffee shops or cafes nearby,?+ Disabled toilets?

yes there are alot of cafes near the end of the canal and toilets at the start of the canal by the town.
