Spectacular Alice in Wonderland sculpture

We popped in for an hours walk around the park as were in Ripon for Pokemon Go Fest and the park has a few pokestops and gyms. An easy 10 minute walk from Ripon town centre.

A small park, rather unremarkable really... except for the amazing Alice in Wonderland sculpture! Remains of a tree have been carved into every main character from the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Very impressive and definitely worthwhile popping by for a quick look if ever in the area - central Ripon is only a short walk away so would highly recommend just wandering by if ever in Ripon.

Take a walk in any weather. the gardens are kept lovely and very colourful in Spring stop a while and have a coffee in the little care and there are toilets nearby

This time of year must be one of the best times to visit these fabulous gardens. The flowers just starting to come into full bloom, and with such an abundance of colour, they simply look stunning.The gardens overall are certainly kept to a very high standard.

As we live in nearby Knaresborough we visit Ripon quite often and, when we do, we always have a stroll round this lovely little park.

And as town centre parks go, this one is certainly on the small side, which I actually like. The flower beds are currently in full bloom for the spring season and look absolutely lovely. The little cafe is open, albeit solely for takeaways at the moment, so it is very pleasant to get a hot drink and sit on one of the benches taking in the peaceful atmosphere and lovely view.

Always a pleasant place to spend a bit of time. Very well maintained with some stunning flower beds and nicely cut grass. And a lovely little cafe up at the top.
