Ewe inquest hobby farm was such an enjoyable morning out with the kids. Dave, the owner was hilarious and full of very interesting info. We loved the alpacas!

Yes Farmer Dave is always full of fun and laughs. Also extremely informative.
The Alpacas are gorgeous and so wrapped that you enjoyed the morning with us.

We loved our trip to this small family-run hobby farm on Mothers Day. Great value for families. Despite our ages (2 x 50+ year olds and 1 x 16 year old teenager) we really enjoyed feeding the farm animals, and Farmer Dave regaled us with stories about the animals, which he clearly loves. I especially found interesting the explanation of what "chewing the cud" means, and also the reproductive behaviour of sheep and alpacas. (You would be surprised to what rams do to find out if a ewe is ready to mate!). Animals are behind fences which makes it safe for little ones to visit - those sheep get mighty hungry and are very competitive when there is food about!
They have great coffee at the Cafe, and we enjoyed our Mothers Day platter (scones, jam & cream, doughnuts and strawberries, and cupcakes). Thanks Penny!
The farm is located not far between Ipswich and Brisbane.
Look out for the special events - the next one is sheep racing at the end of May 21.

Farmer Dave and Penny are very friendly. A great down to earth experience for everyone. Feeding time was very busy and each animals personality shone through.

We always enjoy going to Haigslea Ewe Nique Hobby Farm, it's a great little drive out in the country and my daughter loves it. It's great to see her get more confident with the animals as she feeds them and pets them. Farmer Dave is very knowledgeable and it's so cute when they are in lambing season as there's lots of little babies running around. The chickens are also very friendly and we love the fact that Penny always has the cake cabinet full! And there's great coffee too.

Sorry for late reply. We just found out we are on tripadvisor. Nice to read you had a great time. As fir Pennys cooking your are not wrong. I'm the lucky Farmer who gets it 3 times a day ,7 days a week
