Fantastic trek on horses matched well to rider experience! My friend and I booked a trail ride and Peter matched our different experience levels with a horse that would accommodate each of us very well! I’m an experienced rider and had a lovely Gypsy vanner mare and my friend a solid gypsy mount. I like to canter and she easily went into any gait requested. My friend was only up for a trot and Peter positioned the riding herd to keep those trotting and others cantering. Well done! And to top it off, he gives history of the land, is affable and always checking in to make sure the ride is the best experience for everyone. Definitely recommend.

What a beautiful place to try horse riding. Stunning views from horseback 💕with patient Peter helping us along the way.

What an amazing way to see and experience the countryside of Ireland. Mary and Peter are fantastic hosts and shepherds to their area and rich history. Passionate and buckets of fun, Peter does not disappoint with his stories and expertise in horsemanship. The horses are well cared for and safe to ride. The views of Aran Islands, Galway peninsula and the surrounding hills of The Burren is breathtaking and what better way than to see it from horseback just as the ancient predecessors.

Peter and his guides were incredibly welcoming and charismatic. We did the mountain trek and saw gorgeous panoramas; there are picture friendly moments and Peter is always ready to make a quick stop for photos.
Some of us had riding experience and others no, so Peter adjusted the trek for us so that we had some bouts of cantering and galloping in addition to simply trotting and walking. Thus, it’s not too bad if you’re a beginner, but you need good legs for the two hour trek though!
I can’t express how incredible this activity was for me and my two friends. We hope we can come back again some day, and I’d say you can’t visit the Burren Region without stopping here ❤️🐴
(I also wanted to note that I was gladdened to see that the horses are all in excellent health and well taken care of. They have good calm tempers…and love to stop for a snack of grass 😉☘️)

Such a fun experience!! The tour guides were all very fun and helpful. We got to see lots of beautiful views and we loved the horses.

We rode two beautiful horses on a scenic trek with two other couples. Even in the cold and rainy weather it was very enjoyable! Peter is very personable and funny and pointed out good views and some local historical sites along the way. Anna was new and a great guide for us as well! Only place I’ve ridden that gives you a fair bit of time to trot. The horses are all well trained and very calm. Would definitely recommend this experience while visiting beautiful Doolin!

This ride was the highlight of my trip to Ireland. Peter was a great guide and offered history of the area delivered in a fun and friendly manner. The horses were well cared for and very easy to ride for all riding levels. The views were breathtakingly beautiful. Best way to see Ireland 10/10.

Without a doubt one of the best trail riding experiences I’ve had, and that’s saying a lot given I try to fit in a ride on most holidays! Peter was a delight - solid Irish banter from start to finish - and I really appreciated the effort he made to cater for the group’s varying levels of ability. I had a ball going for 4 or 5 fast paced canters on Oisin and plenty of trotting throughout the 2 hour trek. Less experienced riders were looked after by a separate guide, allowing them to go at their pace.
Peter talks about the horses like they’re his children. It’s so reassuring to know that they are genuinely loved and exceptionally cared for - sadly this isn’t always the case!
Per other reviews, beautiful scenery and plenty of photo opportunities. You’d be mad not to do it, particularly if you’re someone who’s looking for more than a ‘nose to tail’ ride.

This was, hands down, the best part of my whole trip! The horses are sweet, lovely creatures (a big shout out to Tinkerbell and Guinness!) and Peter was so kind and generous. Plus, he is one of most engaging tour guides ever! He took us on a short ride, showing us both ruined and restored cottages, breathtaking views, and the beautiful Irish countryside. My advice? Do it! It could be your dream come true...

You can submit an online enquiry form through our website or call directly on 00353 87 6345776.
Treks run daily between 9am and 5pm and range from 1 to 6 hours in duration. Prices start from €30 per person per hour. Please feel free to get in touch by phone if you have any other questions.

Is that an excursion that you can book same day or would it be wise to book ahead? Just not sure when we will fit this into our trip but want to for sure.

We booked ahead. I don't think they could accommodate walk- ins..there is not a person there 24/7

I have attempted (Twice) to reach the Centre by email through their website a message and the response was that the email was blank. I also have tried to call and get a message that the number is not in service. We will be there in August 2018, and are interested in a beach ride. How far ahead do we need to reserve?

I'd believe it depends on the season - August can be busy there, from what I understand. Also, it's family run, so they don't have a full time receptionist, and it may be a little while before they return emails off season. Do you have the correct #? (Phone 00 353 85 8452300)

Does every ride option take you to the beach? Or do you have to book one specifically for a beach ride? I'm making my first trip to Ireland in March, and #1 on my bucket list has always been to ride a horse on a beach in Ireland. Cheesy I know...

We offer 2 options for the beach ride. A shorter 2 hour beach only trek and a longer 4 hour combination trek which includes both Burren and beach trekking.

they are very accomodating and helpful.That said, cantoring on the beach is not for beginners.However,if all are,then it could work.My recommendation is to just ask ask them.They are very helpful and knowledgable.
