Stayed here last week. Very disappointed in the spa and swimming pool. That was our reason for going to the hotel for, to relax and enjoy pool and spa.The pool was very cold and spa was being painted during the day ,very unprofessional. Staff in the hotel were very helpful and nice.

Perfect hotel to relax and chill with family. Staff were lovely especially Mariann the Lady night porter who went over and above to help, her customer service was 100%.

Lovely hotel, I would highly recommend for a relaxing escape. The staff were very helpful and friendly from the second we got there. The grounds are amazing, they lead to the car park which has a car service which was a lovely touch. The roaring fire also gave a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was very nice in the all day dining area and the swimming pool facilities were gorgeous. I will definitely be returning.

The service at the spa reception was awful here, considering the cost which my mother had already paid for a yearly membership and she then paid €40 for a guest membership - for what is basically a glorified swimming pool. The ladies at the reception made her feel that she was somehow second rate because she wasn't a hotel guest. Nobody gave us the robes and towels that people normally get - we had to go back and ask and when I did the receptionist made me feel like it was my fault we hadn't been given them. The receptionist was also very curt with my mother snapping that she was very busy. They gave us only one fob between two people for a locker which is insufficient and just not on again considering what we were being charged. Yep you guessed it they were too busy and didn't have a second fob. Hmmmm too busy to be nice to an elderly lady who has been a member of the spa for the last ten years!! Awful awful treatment. They may be busy but that is not my mother's fault and they shouldn't be taking it out on her.

Myself and my partner traveled for a day spa package and to check out potential wedding venue for next year for our wedding What can I say the spa from start to finish was excellent massages were gorgeous and really lovley staff.
The grounds were stunning
After our day before heading home we decided we would have some lunch.
We were greeted by who I think was a manger a male wearing a blue suit he seated us and gave us menus. We waited approx 15 minutes with no service no drinks menu the manager walked through the bar and noticed we hadn't been attended he asked a girl to take our order which she did . Our starters we both had vegetable soup which was delicious but unfortunately my main arrive chicken katsu curry it was absolutely freezing so much so the curry had a film over the top of it. I tried multiple times to get the wait staff attention to no luck I had to walk up to the bar to ask for this to be rectified. My plate was taken and I was advised I'd receive a fresh portion my fiance finished his meal before mine arrived. The plate I got back was much hotter but definitely reheated as chicken was as dry as sand.
We waited 20 mins for plates to be collected and desert menu offered this never happened so we got up and went to bar to pay . We were never asked how our meal was or if it was ok during or after. 17 euro for a very very poor katsu curry is very steep had I of been asked how my meal was I would of expressed my disappointment.

Just returned from a one night stay.
Fantastic experience from check-in to check-out.
Rooms where beautiful, clean and spacious.
Spa facilities were first class and extremely well maintained given the the amount of footfall this hotel experiences.
Dinner in Maxwells was delicious and even tho the restaurant seemed to be doing a very large amount of covers that evening, our wait between courses was minimal.
A special mention to Emma our F&B assistant that looked after us that evening, who was fantastic!!!

We had really looked forward to this visit not only to experience the hotel and spa but also to check it out as a possible wedding venue. However, given the price we paid for 2nights bed and breakfast the overall experience was poor.
The positives were the weather was amazing, the spa was fabulous and the pools awesome. Bar food was hit and miss but when it was good, it was fab. Breakfast was nice and Monday mornings staff were very helpful and friendly.
I was so excited to check in to our room and see what all how amazing it all was, only to get stuck in toilet as handle fell off the door when I walked in. It was clearly just left on. This was rectified on request. Service on the bar on the Saturday night was mixed. My steak sambo came without chips and stinking of fish. We were not allowed to order from the bar when as we were told it was table service even though other guests were ordering. Table service was terrible and slow. The next day when housekeeping services the room they did indeed take the towels that were piled and made up the bed. They in turn left only 2 towels and no shampoo, no bath mat.
They did however leave a bag of rubbish at the end of the bed belonging to someone else? It wasn't ours?!
Again that night bar service was slow but we could order from the bar as it seemed things had changed from the previous evening and there was now no table service. Most of the tables were reserved the evening we went to the bar in the cellar, but as we turned to leave we were directed to one at the very end of the bar where we could see nothing or no one.
Some staff were lovely, others couldn't be bothered. We watched others get served but we couldn't as the bar was closed. The whole experience was so inconsistent and service just hit and miss. The icing on the cake was the bag of rubbish left by housekeeping in our room. When I wrote to them to explain my experience, Bridie the manager offered a" gesture of our apologies to you on your next visit". I don't know what this would be but honestly how would anyone pay such high rates to return to a hotel where others rubbish is left in your room and service is so poor to get a gesture?
As for being a wedding venue, there are fabulous grounds but that's the only thing that is consistent about the hotel.
I am so disappointed with my stay and regret our decision to spend such money to visit the place.

We love coming to Farnham Estate, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The forest walks are fantastic and the spa area is so relaxing. The restaurants have great menus, we always love our times here.

My husband and myself have just returned from a 2 night stay to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We really couldn't recommend it enough. The hotel is beautiful, food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Before diner on our first night there was a knock on the door with a staff member handing over some lovely chocolates and a happy anniversary card from the hotel and then at dinner the next evening a beautifully decorated plate with chocolate writing and brownies was presented also for our anniversary. Such lovely and unexpected touches. We enjoyed time on the golf course and also in the spa with treatments which was just pure relaxation. Having read a few previous bad reviews we couldn't understand what there was to complain about. Highly recommend for a relaxing break and look forward to returning.

Always love this hotel and love the pool area but this time I decided to have a 30 minute Swedish massage with a male therapist, I think his name is Conrad. I have to say it was absolutely fabulous, I would highly recommend him if you have lot of knots and tension, he worked through the knots and I felt totally relaxed after.

The bar stops serving food at 10 and the lobby bar stops serving drinks depending on demand. The cellar bar serves drinks until very late, usually 2/3am on a Friday Saturday and Sunday

Breakfast is unbelievable. There is a wide assortment of breads and pastries available, meats and salmon. Eggs and omelettes. Cold cuts, cereals.
