I'm not sure if there is a way to get all the way there on public transport - you can either drive from Dublin, or take the train to Galway, then rent a car and drive up from there (I don't recall exactly how far a drive it is from Galway, but I'd estimate less than an hour)

Hello, it very much depends upon the time of the year as to what types of activities they will do at Killary Sheep Farm. If your wife likes Spinning, drive in to nearby Letterbrickaun, Go To the Sheep and Wool Museum, there a guide shows how Traditional Spinning is done on 3 or 4 Spinning Machines, here you can have a go spinning, albeit a sample taster of spinning!
