Five of us walked the Noosa Trail number one starting and finishing in Kin Kin.
The Trail passes through farmland, some bush land and on some dirt and tarmac roads.
You need to open and close farm gates at times.
The terrain is hilly and the level of physical exercise is intermediate.
Walking poles are helpful but not necessary.
It is best done in cooler weather.
The length is approximately 14 to 15 km. There are tables and chairs at two places on the way for rest stops.
It is worth taking sufficient water with you.

Absolutely enjoyable and breathtaking at the same time.
Jump on a horse and loose youself in acres of natural forests and breathtaking scenery
A must for those that love the outdoors.
You can go in a pre guided tour group as I did, or gather some friends and horses and make it into a horse trek and camping trip all in one.
Completely invigorating for the body and mind.

Kin Kin is a quaint town which was nice to visit. We walk/jogged the loop in a clockwise direction. The prettiest part of the walk is through the farmland at the start. After this a lot of the track was actually on or next to the road. The Wahpunga Lane section was quite overgrown. Since there are a lot of snakes around this time of year we chose to travel on the road next to the trail. There's the odd section that could do with another sign post. It's a pleasant flat stroll. Worth doing, but pails in comparison to the Hinterland walks.

Easy to follow trail through different and interesting terrain passed several creaks, but not good for swimming

A friend and I did track #4 Kin Kin to lake MacDonald with mountain bike. We are fit and experienced mountain bikers , but do not be deceived this track is for walkers/ hikers and horses. Don’t bother with section from Kin Kin to Cootharaba road unless you want to walk beside your bike for good periods. Start from Black Pinch road where you’ll find good single tracks. I see some reviews say the scenery is spectacular, spectacular is relative I know....They are pleasant rural scenes with very distant views of hills, lake Cootharaba and the ocean. The trail was well maintained and well sign posted. The weather was superb but ... spectacular views....c’mon.

We tried part of the Kin Kin Countryside Trail (#1). From Kin Kin village to Grady Lane. However, as it started to drizzle halfway, we decided to turn back after 2km into the trail. Passed by very pleasant pastoral scenes. Was fascinated by the cattle and the cattle egrets which we saw along the way. Easy walk. Too bad we didn’t make it all the way to Grady Lane.

Went horse riding from the Kin Kin grounds behind the pub. The grounds were an excellent venue with some horse yards, and plenty of grass and water for the horses The meal at the Kin Kin General store was mouth watering especially the night we went for Pizza & Pasta. It was a full house but the staff managed and there were very obliging. We visited the pub several times and couldn't complain about our meals. This meant that we didn't have to cook during our camping weekend. The Noosa Network trails we undertook were very challenging for the horses so i would make sure that your horse was relatively fit but excellent trails some shaded & had some amazing & breathtaking views along the way.

We had a fantastic few days camped at Kin Kin Showground and riding horse up through parts of the Noose Trail Network. What a wonderful experience! Looking forward to another trip up there very soon!

Beautiful views and worth the effort. We took the shortest trail and had a fabulous morning that was finished off by a great visit to The Black Ant Cafe.

Headed to Kin Kin to tackle one of the walks through stunning scenery on a brilliant day weather wise. We chose to take on walk #1 which was around 14 kms in distance. The carefully plotted walked include a mix of country lanes, pastures, bush tracks and short sections of sealed roads. The walk was relatively flat with only a few short steep climbs and descents but nothing too challenging.
Lush green hills, pastures and untouched bush settings provided many memorable photo opportunities. Will head back and attempt another of these walks in the future.
