Went here after a bite to eat at Monterey Jack's. Was great fun and would recommend! Can't wait to come back with the family

Lovely park with plenty of green space for kids to kick about football
Fantastic play park/adventure playground and lovely wee zoo area too.
Cafe looked lovely but didn’t have time to eat there.
Highly recommend for family day out

Very nice park to have a walk along the river bank with all the trees, very peaceful. Playpark area and small zoo for the children, so lots to keep them occupied. Tea room seemed nice with sitting in or sitting out in picnic benches in courtyard, but I only had a coffee. Car park within the park which is not very large but there is another car parking area at front to left of gatehouse which is much larger and then to walk little way to the park.

Park , zoo and nature trails lovely and definitely worth a visit . The courtyard cafe , well where do I begin . Lovely outdoor seating area . Placed order and given a number ticket to collect order. My number was called and the young man said "oh be careful the box is very hot" wow no kidding I couldn't even hold it . Was chips n cheese . These were inedible as was deep fried frozen chips , cheap rubber orange cheese microwaved on High for a considerable time , the chips were a solid lump , not even a fork would catch them . Expensive disgusting food , a picnic is required .

It's a great country park, I'm not great at steps or stairs and I can walk slowly around and totally not use steps once. They have considered everyone's needs from very fit to disabled. It's kept in wonderful condition and I recommend you try the courtyard cafe for a drink or even a toastie, lots on offer there. Friendly staff from the cafe to the wardens.

Love the zoo, it's so cheap to get in and the enclosures are all really good - the animals are very well cared for. The surrounding walks in the country park are great also, so many different routes to go for a woodland walk. Single adult, no kids! Still love the zoo and walks after years of going on multiple occasions.

Great day out with 19 month old granddaughter. She loved the animals and the parks although it was a bit too cold the day went to spend much time outside. The dog loved the walk she had while Sophie and I went to the cafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the selection of cakes was lovely. The only thing that let it down was the disabled/baby changing toilet in the cafe. It wasn't as clean as it could've been

I have only been to this park many years ago. Its a good park suited my 2 grandkids who are 3 and 5 .they loved it.there is a smaller playarea for the younger kids as well.plenty of space to run about it.there is a cafe and also a small zoo

Does anyone have the price for the wild breakfast or the little zoo keeper please, also the little zoo keeper states maximum 2 people per experience, I have 2 children so would I not be able to go with them?

Hi,
You don't have to pay to get in to the country park and adventure play area, however you do have to pay if you would like to go into the zoo and botanic greenhouse area. It's around £1.50-ish per person to get in to the zoo. Parking is free.

I just wondered if anyone has ever had a bbq at Calderglen before?? If so how early would you need to be to get a spot and is it bring your own or do they have anything there???

There is only about 4 tables in the area So most people bring disposable bbq sit it on the grass and cook.

There were goats when I visited a while ago but I would call before going.Palacerig in Cumbernauld used to have goats.Heads of Ayr farmPark is the best for young kids.

Yes there's a big park ,but I suggest this as letting a dog off in the zoo ,as another writer wrote could be "problematic" lol
