We made the climb from Camogli to San Rocco, it is quite tiring, but very scenic, you arrive in the churchyard of San Rocco, which gives its name to the hamlet. The sea view is spectacular. It gives a feeling of peace and serenity both standing in the churchyard and entering the Church. In the churchyard there are benches to rest and watch the landscape

February is a wonderful month to go on the paths of the Portofino Park: the clear winter days combined with the climate that is still warm, the lack of crowds of other more tourist months, always allow us to enjoy it to the fullest. This time we limited ourselves to the path that goes from Camogli to San Rocco and, passing through the Batterie, we went down to Punta Chiappa, beaten by the wind and the sea. Going up we passed the church of San Nicolò di Capodimonte.
This is one of the most beautiful trails in the Park. not trivial because of the inevitable ups and downs, but with points of interest and spectacular views. Recommendation, but not in February or November: in these months, leave it to us who live nearby;-).

Yesterday Sunday, August 25 at 21.45 I was going to return to Genoa (where I usually live) from August holidays along the state road n. 1 Aurelia in the direction of Genoa. In a black sticker day of Italian traffic what do the oligophrenics of San Rocco do!?!? They organize a beautiful procession with its TOTAL block of the road to Genoa. I wonder... it seems normal to you that on a day and at an hour like that a village forgotten by God and men can block the transit of one of the two main arteries (the other is the highway) of the Ligurian east to take a walk from here to there a crucifix of frivolity only to them?!?!?!???.
All, of course, under the protective umbrella of the administration.

Not too demanding hike of about two hours to reach tip butt. If you want you can also detour to other destinations including Portofino. Along the path you will meet two small churches, where you can make a stop to refuel browse recharge your water bottle, and enjoy the view of the gulf, before reaching the bottom and enjoy a nice regenerating dip in a blue sea. It's worth it. P.S. Although it is often shaded better to opt for periods not too hot such as late summer.

This village is a hidden gem. Park the bus or car and then walk down the steps to the harbour and water front. It's quite a drop but worth it. Bars and restaurants nestle beside fishermen mending their nets and the views are beautiful. Go into the church, it looks basic from the outside but inside is spectacular. A total surprise. February it was lovely although I can imagine it may get crowded as the tourist season gets busier.

We learned about this location from the film "Blanca" and were curious to visit it. Just one train stop away from "Portofino/Santa Margherita", Camogli is a seaside town that cannot be missed: a nice walk along the main street you can admire the shops and focaccerie until you reach the bell tower and the tourist port. Clean sea complete with a 2023 blue flag.

Cara, puoi fare tranquillamente il sentiero con bambini dai cinque anni in su. Il ritorno è un in salita. Usare scarpe un po’ robuste (no sandaletti)
