We went for a concert conducted by a friend of ours and had the pleasure of visiting this fabulous villa with its hauntingly beautiful gardens and rooms.

The splendid Villa Falconieri is currently home to an international university academy. Despite this, the management allows you to visit it for free on Sundays by appointment.
The park of the Villa is very large and in the lower part there are beautiful Italian gardens with a fountain that is somewhat reminiscent of La Barcaccia. The access portal features sculptures of two men equipped with spades, which remind us of how important agriculture was in these parts, as in times gone by.
The structure knows three important historical periods, the first is the Roman one, the second the Renaissance one and the third the Baroque one.
The villa is not very large, but you can admire the three styles mentioned above starting from the fabulous mosaic floor originating from the first Roman villa, the grotesques from the 1500s and then the various frescoes and decorations and furniture from the 1700s.
The visit lasts about an hour because a passionate and very competent guide will tell you every secret of the villa and its owners over the centuries. Thank you, thank you so much for allowing us to get to know this adorable little museum.

Ho partecipato all’evento dedicato all’aquarello del “Grand tour “organizzato dall’Accademia Vivarum Novum .

In tale occasione l’immobile fu arricchito di uno splendido giardino all’italiana.

Ottima esperienza!

Tenuta bene grazie all'associazione che ci "lavora" all'interno, forse potrebbe offrire qualcosina in più.
