Excellent way to see the lookout and have the convenience to stop where, when and for how long you want. Fits 2 in single file. Fun to drive. Make sure you get the blankets on offer as while there is a windscreen there are no windows, so rug up. Inge was very helpful with an additional viewing spot and just all round pleasant. Cost is high for 2 hours, 1650nok but worth the splurge.

My husband and I were unable to get tickets for the Flam Railway on the day our ship (MSC Virtuosa - Wed 4th Sept 24) docked so we looked at Youtube for alternative activities. We came across a video of a young couple who had hired one of these amazing little electric vehicles and based on that we booked it.
How glad we were that we did. We had the best time.
The weather was "ok" first thing in the morning even if slightly drizzly at times and we had our Twizzy car booked for 8.30am. We walked just a few hundred yards from the ship to where the cars were waiting. There were quite a lot of them and a few people ahead of us waiting to take one out. There were 2 men booking people in and both were so nice and extremely patient, spoke perfect English and had all the time in the world to explain things to us. My husband and I were both going to take a turn at driving and i set off first with husband behind me in the back. We had read that space was very tight and not to take anything with us such as a backpack etc as there would be no room. We didn't find that to be the case at all, yes space is limited but if we had taken our flasks of coffee with us as intended we would have had enough room and been grateful for the hot drink later in the journey. It wasn’t difficult to get into the car, if a little awkward but not a problem and once inside we settled in and fastened our seatbelts.
The details of how to drive were explained and the sat nav set to our destination of Stegastein Viewpoint so off we went…………how easy it was to drive, very responsive and felt like it had quite a bit of “poke” rather than being slow and sluggish as I’d half expected.
Everything up to this point was perfect but it went awry for a while after that as we got lost……and then got lost again…….and again and eventually after 25minutes of not even being able to find our way out of the port area we went back to the beginning and had to admit to our guy there the trouble we were having. We were so embarrassed and quite anxious and worked up as we were eating into our 2 hour hire and hadn’t even set off for the viewpoint so we thought we had ruined it. After figuring out where we had gone wrong and why, the patient young guy helped us and said not to worry about the time and that we could set off again and still have our full 2 hours. We put the trouble we’d had behind us (all our own fault, no one else got lost from what we could tell) and set off again. I had expected the journey to be silent but it wasn’t. From the outside the vehicles are silent enough but when you’re in one they rattle and the wind blows and it is a bit noisy but not a problem. We were under the impression there were no doors but there are although they aren’t sealed and there is no top where a window would normally be so there is plenty of wind but this all added to our experience really. We were very well wrapped up with thick coats, gloves etc and glad of them too at times.
We stuck to the speed limits at all times but sometimes even though we were only doing 50km per hour it felt much faster, especially when in a tunnel. The journey up into the mountains was absolutely amazing and one we will never forget. People waved to us, particularly other Twizzy users but we didn’t see that many other cars or people the whole time we were out, maybe because it was early in the day. Very good, quiet roads.
I will attach some pics of our journey but the ultimate was when we got to the viewpoint. When we parked up the silence was deafening and the air was so fresh. There were a few people there already but it wasn’t busy and still felt very peaceful. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there were toilets up there, which we hadn’t expected.
We took pictures of the viewpoint ledge and then walked to the end of it where there is a glass panel which makes you feel like you could just walk off the edge……..the views were incredible. At this point it started to rain a bit which was a shame but the clouds which came down and then cleared again helped to make the experience so I actually think this kind of day was better than a hot and sunny one where the view probably stays the same all the time.
We stayed up there for about 20 minutes I think having taken about the same to drive up and the same to drive down so the 2 hours is plenty of time. My husband drove on the way down and stopped at a few different points to take some more pictures. After rounding one of the hairpin bends we spotted our ship in the fjord with the cloud sitting just above it and pulled over quickly to get the shot but within a few seconds the cloud came down and completely obscured the ship.
I cannot recommend this activity enough and especially because the people there are absolutely wonderful and deserve every success.
PLEASE BOOK A TWIZZY IN FLAM, YOU WON’T REGRET IT

We had a
Bad service.
We used the establishment's GPS cart, we went exactly where they suggested , but we were late to return , 20 minutes , because the GPS was not ready for the way back , and we missed the entrance .
We were accused of going somewhere else , and charged more .
Just look at the GPS , and see that we respect the way to go , and the turns we made to get into the car 's return spot .
We were pretty poorly cared for , all the time .
Thank you

Just like the title says. This was one of our favorite memories/experiences from our 18 days in Scandinavia. So if you’re in Flam, this is a must do!
Yes the cars are tiny, but we’re not small people, and we fit it in. They are capable of some good speed, even up the many switchbacks to the absolutely breathtaking Stegastein Overlook.
We stopped in Aurland on the way up and walked inside and around the 400+-year-old Vangen stone church and cemetery.
The cutbacks up to the overlook are sharp, and the road is super narrow but super cool, which makes this car great! Think driving the road to Hana or Pacific Coast Highway in a golf cart. You only get a two-hour charge, but switch to neutral on the way down to buy yourself some extra time to explore.
We stopped in Aurland on the way back to have cappuccinos and vaniljebolle at Marianne Bakeri & Kaffe, a local pastry shop. Delicious and super fresh!
Rent this car! You will not be disappointed!

The tour was endless fun for me and my family and was just awesome. The price/performance ratio is top and the team on site in friendliness can hardly be beaten, which takes a lot of time for a thorough training regarding car and tour. The routes are excellently selected and have plenty of photo motifs. The route to the viewpoint Stegastein takes some getting used to, as often only one lane, which is no problem due to the considerate driving of tourists and locals. If you want to explore Flam on your own and experience something, this is the place for you. Always happy to come back!!!

We rented the 4 seater ecar as we are a family of 3. Please take note that there is only 1 4 seater so you need to get there when they open to get it. They can be expensive but that’s the only choice in flam. We got it for a day. The gentleman quite nice. Thanks to the car we explored the surrounding area. They also have few fuel cars but not easily available.

An incredible view from the top of the fjord thanks to an efficient means of transport, not bulky and pleasant to drive. A more comfortable vehicle than I initially imagined. Two places not so cramped as that. A nice mode of travel that will add to the beautiful memories we will have of Flam.

Great experience with the little e-racers that look like they came out of a Kinder Surprise egg. There are two routes to choose from. We chose the less busy route in Flåmsdalen. Beautiful nature and waterfalls await you here. The somewhat idiosyncratic audio guide explains the importance of nature in German, but also draws your attention to photo stops and humorously points out if you lose your way. Overall, not the cheapest activity but one of the most beautiful in Flåm. A little tip: booking directly with the Flåm Railway works well and at no extra cost. Even though there were still enough vehicles available on site.

We hadn't booked but had seen these online. We jumped off the cruise ship early but the staff told us they were full so try later. We came back an hour later and one was free!
The staff explained how to drive and how to use satnav. Great audio on the way up to Stegasien viewpoint and stunning scenery. Winding roads but we felt safe and it was so fun.
Worth every penny - don't hesitate just book it 😉

Our cruise was redirected from Geirangerfjord to Flåm and we were scrambling a bit to find an activity for our family of 6 that would also allow us to see the city. We rented 3 Twizys and we could not have made a better choice. These little 2 seater cars can fit two people and some backpacks comfortably. And they are so much fun to drive - they can go up to 80 km/hour!
There were two different standard options that lasted 2 hours. We chose the Stegastein viewpoint and stopped for a quick bite to eat in Aurland on the way. The drive to Stegastein was up a winding mountain road and we got lots of smiles and waves along the way as the cars themselves are a sight to see.
I would definitely recommend renting these as long as you have enough licensed drivers in your group. Definitely a memorable experience!

Could your car be used to go from flam to undredal?
I want to see the Stave church there. Does the road to Undredal go thru a tunnel or up the mountain?

Yes you can drive to Undredal with the Twizy. You have to go through a tunnel to get to undredal. Send a mail to postflam@emob.no with timing when you want to go then we can make a reservation for you.

Vi är två äldre par som tycker att det låter spännande med att hyra eMobility.
Vad kostar det?
Måste men boka i förväg. Vi planerar att vara i Flån den 14 juni 2018.
