Monumento memorial da batalha de Aljubarrota e panteão régio, cuja construção teve início em finais do século XIV com o patrocínio de D. João I, o Mosteiro dominicano da Batalha é o mais significativo edifício do gótico português. As suas vastas dependências constituem hoje um excelente exemplo da evolução da arquitectura medieval até ao início do século XVI. Recomendo a sua visita.

A wonderful way to spend a morning

PWZ offer a series of activities aimed for small groups along the silver coast,enabling the visitor to explore and see this beautiful coastline in a different way. Being a keen rider i chose the 4 hr lagoon experience. Transport was not an issue as Miguel kindly drove me too and from the stables.
On arrival at the stables i met my guide, Luis..and of course all the lovely horses..from foals up to adult
I was partnered with a hansome horse called Shek...who took me on my trip through farmland,woodland,villages down to the beautiful peaceful lagoon. On the way back we swopped horses..and i rode a very well behaved mare ..Pendeme.
I had a wonderful time and if you are looking for a peaceful way to enjoy this beautiful part of the world..this is for you.
If i had more time and more money i would certainly try more of the opportunities PSW have to offer

Magnifica obra da arquitectura medieval. Recomendo vivamente a sua visita, de preferência acompanhado por guia, pois o edifício para alem da sua beleza arquitectónica vale muito mais pela sua historia.

O edifício é o tributo aos deuses pela vitoria dos Portugueses na batalha de Aljubarrota.
