Arambol is known for its free somewhat chaotic world. Unfortunately, more Indian guests come every year to leave their garbage, such as beer cans, beer bottles, right on the beach. Of course, some tourists from Europe do too.... nevertheless it is noticeable that the new airport brings more Indian guests and the problem gets bigger every year. It happens more often than the last 2 years that people are bitten by the free-roaming dogs. Consider the possibility of vaccination beforehand (rabies/tetanus/hepatitis). Be careful with gastronomy on the beach. The kitchens are very basic + problem with water + power outages... Even if it is cheap here, I would not come with the small children or a weakened immune system or eg asthma. I moved a little further to Madrem and Morijm and find the beach much nicer + generally better quality.

I found that the old charm of this beach is lost and did not like it as on my last trip few years back approach is not as clean now

We had stayed at Morjim Sunset Hotel in Morjim and visited the Arambol beach in North Goa. Arambol beach was 12 km from our hotel where we had stayed in Morjim.

Arambol Beach is one of the most vibrant and unique beaches in North Goa. Known for its bohemian vibe, it attracts a diverse crowd of travelers, from backpackers and artists to those simply seeking a laid-back atmosphere. The beach itself is long, with soft golden sands and calm waters, making it perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or just enjoying the scenic beauty.
What sets Arambol apart is its lively culture. You’ll find yoga sessions on the beach, drum circles at sunset, and plenty of local markets offering handmade crafts, jewelry, and clothing. There are numerous beachfront shacks where you can enjoy delicious seafood, refreshing drinks, and live music. The beach is also known for paragliding and dolphin watching, which adds an adventurous touch to the experience.
One of my favorite spots here is the sweet water lake just a short walk from the beach, surrounded by palm trees and offering a peaceful alternative to the sea. The sunsets at Arambol are absolutely magical and draw a crowd every evening to watch the sky turn into a beautiful canvas of colors.
While Arambol is generally laid-back, it can get a bit crowded during peak season, so if you prefer a quieter experience, visiting in the early morning or offseason is ideal.

The beach is generally clean compared to what is behind the beach. I went there after the season, that is to say without any tourists. I saw the car parking transformed into a recycling center, the whole town of Arambol is really very dirty apart from the houses and gardens of the inhabitants who try to keep their living space clean. I think that Arambol is a victim of its success and that the local authorities are certainly overwhelmed to remove the waste. The situation is catastrophic. A priori, a lot of tourists come here to party. A hypothesis: they don't respect the city and do anything because they are not at home. It's a possibility. I would have liked to have a clear explanation of the condition of the premises. Damage

Disappointed. There was no atmosphere. There was no market on the beach. The informals went into the forest. Heaps of garbage and crowds of impudent, pestering Indians. Apparently what was there, that atmosphere, is gone forever. Without the atmosphere that people created, the place looks dubious; for the money you can relax better in other places. It's a pity. I traveled all over GOA from north to south. It's the same everywhere. Crowds of uncultured, arrogant, pestering Hindus. GOA is no longer the same. And I don’t feel drawn to the resort and the atmosphere of freedom is gone.

Arambol Beach is the last beach of North Goa, which is located in the Pernem region of Northern Goa. This beach is so clean and neat due to which the beach attracts many international tourists. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful and unexploited beach in Goa.
Best season to visit is between November to March. This beach shares boarders with Keri Beach in the North and Mandrem Beach in the South.
Arambol beach is one of the last northern beach of the state. Arambol beach is considered to be one of the most beautiful beach of Goa.
Arambol beach is closer to Maharashtra boarder compared to the popular Calangute-Condolim and Bagha stretch. This beach is surrounded by hills and thick greenery. It is mostly sandy but you will find a few rocks.
Water sports like Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Parasailing, Banana Ride and Speed Boat are available here.

The hotel was great and clean, we could have breakfast until 12 o'clock. The path to the beach was not as clean as it is in India.

Tuesday evening 5th December, we spent the night at Nanu Resort Arambol. It was early evening and we decided to take a stroll to the Beach and surrounding area.
Just after the Planet 2 Restaurant there was a small road, Dando Road on the right hand side, which we took in the direction of the Beach. When the road came to an end we took a pathway and followed a sign for Wave de Goa, which we assumed was on the Beach.
We ambled through a number of narrow passageways which led us on the Beach a long and wide stretch of golden/brown sand.
We walked along the Beach as far as Harmal Beach Road, which was in excess of two kilometres. We took this road, on our way back to the Hotel, the street was lined with shops and stalls. The was also a beach car park, which was payable.
There was a real bohemian vibe to this Beach and must be on of the most eclectic beaches we have ever been to.
In between the numerous small fishing boats, lined up along the beach, there were sunbeds, umbrellas, tables and chairs belonging to the Shacks and bars. They were all facing the sea in preparation for the imminent sunset. Staff from the bars were very proactive in inviting us to sit and have a drink or food at their bar.
There were no Shacks or bars on the Beach they were all at the back on the sand dunes alongside the accommodation huts.
We did see some sights, there were people learning to walk on a tight rope, juggle and twirl a variety of objects. People were partaking in yoga exercises, stretching in some unusual positions. Others walked along carrying their surfboards looking for the best waves. Others just lay out on the sand while children of all ages built sandcastles.
Towards the Harmal Beach Road end of the beach there were a number stalls on the beach selling grilled sweetcorn.
Judging from the number of people, locals and holidaymakers, heading to the Beach, that it is a lively place in the evenings.
Dogs and cows wandered freely along the beach. While the beach cleaners, cleared up after the humans, no one cleared up after the dogs and cows, a bit messy and dirty in places.

Hi! Does anyone know how long/easy the walk to arambol is from Mandrem beach? If you stay in Mandrem do you feel connected to the restaurants etc of Arambol or do you feel quite disconnected?

What are some of the best and inexpensive ways travelling from Arambol to Goa Airport?

Hi. Arambol is one of the north most beach of Goa and the airport is just in middle of Goa. Therefore, distance is quite big.
As far as travel in goa is concerned, the only (literally) option available is to hire a cab or drive one yourself. I have been goa many times and always used either a rental cab or drove a self driven one. Public transport in goa is alomost non existent and if at all is there, hardly it suits to the tourist needs. So don't think much. Take a cab from airport. The cost might be between 1500 and 2000 inr. Alternatively, check with your hotel if they can arrange pick up.

I was staying at Candolim. So took a cab there. When u reach the beach, you have to walk through a mountainous area (there r small resorts n shop along this route), to reach the beach. It’s worth the effort.
