Great friendly ride on board a canobus that can also be done by canoe for the confirmed. We went there with our 4 year old girl who liked it very much. Everyone participates for the progress of the canobus. The animator who accompanied us is very friendly and brought us a lot of information and from there we were amazed by what nature can do, to know more I recommend this outing!

Superb experience with Luc our super Guide who made us discover the history of the Vendée while crisscrossing the various marsh arms. And to extend the walk dinner break with an excellent meal also cook up by Luke and canoe back into the night without light just the moon to guide us. We were lucky enough to be with a great band. I highly recommend it. Thank you for this discovery

Evening canoeing is really an experience to do you discover all the history of the Breton-vendian marshes and the history of the salt marshes at the time. The organization is really top and we have a great time conviviality at mealtime.

A beautiful walk in peace.
Ronan our Guide was super friendly and we6made the most of this ride, plus he rode with us in the canoe.
The kids loved it, especially B.
Ronan knows the story well and tells us what to see.
It was really nice.

Very nice 2h experience we did the canoe tour with our Guide Kymis sorry if there are mistakes in your name. A very nice Ace Guide who is very patient also. A moment on the water resting but also fun with other groups between skirmish racing and also mutual aid ... can't wait to return. Thanks to you charlene

Very nice canoe ride. Suitable for both young children and teenagers. The guided tour with Titouan is recommended with really interesting explanations and humor. The two hours pass very quickly.

La Route du Sel is a fantastic way to learn about the region of Vendee and Sallertaine and get loads of useful tips about what you can do when staying around. It includes a lovely (short) walk through the village and a canoe trip (about 4 km). We went as a family of 5 (with kids ages 4, 6 and 9) and had a great guide (thumbs up, Titouan), who kept it interesting and sharp and was also very easy-going. He told us loads we hadn't known (and this was our 3rd or 4th time in the region).
We could all fit into one canoe, and the explanation about everything (how to get in and paddle) was so simple and reassuring that there was no stress whatsoever. The boats, the live jackets and the equipment were all very clean. Additionally, you get a barrel to put all your belongings (and prevent them from getting wet or damaged if you flip)—so practical.
We also had a little adventure - Titouan told us loads about animals that inhabit the river/river banks and said that if we get a fish, we need to kiss it and let it free. We thought it was an "urban legend" for tourists. But... towards the end of the trip, a little fish jumped on board (the younger kids totally panicked at first), and Titouan had to come to the rescue to get it out (as we were afraid that with kids screaming and moving around, we would rock the canoe too much). But he did, and now we took that one as a great anecdote!
After the trip you can chill in the garden behind the office from where you start the trip (or go to one of the local restaurants - we did this - and the food was excellent).
We recommend parking next to the sports complex (on the opposite side of the street from the office, behind the row of houses). The staff speaks very good English, and you can pay with a card (you may want to get a little regional card, which gives you the right to a discount—ask at the counter). The price is absolutely fair (22€ per adult). It is obligatory to wear closed shoes (they will check before they let you join the trip), and (as always) the sun feels like being very strong when in the canoe. No mosquitos - and they will tell you during the trip why not :)

Hi, is there a minimum age? I’m interested in visiting with a 3 year old and 6 year old? What are the rules regarding them being on a canoe? Thanks in advance!
