I thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Flight of the Falcon’ presentation. It was a perfect summer day to sit in their outdoor seating area (outstanding views!) as we learned about the Karearea and watched 2 of their falcons show off their training skills and meet their barn owl! Worth the visit for adults and kids.

Very informative show and well thought out so all the audience can see and hear and be involved. Well worth a visit, and will be good to see the new centre once built

Interessante Einblicke in das Training und die Aufzucht von Greifvögeln gibt das Wingspan Center. Ich hatte es mir etwas touristisch vorgestellt, stattdessen achtet das Team sorgsam dafür, dass die Tiere sich wohlfühlen und natürlich verhalten können. Schöne Begegnung mit den seltenen neuseeländischen Falken und einer wunderschönen Schleiereule. Super organisiert und kleine Gruppen.

Wingspan offers a very good experience. You get to learn lots about falcons and see these birds close up. Their flying skills are amazing. We even got to see a barn owl.

Celebrating 80th birthday so had the privilege of having a falcon sitting on my arm. I absolutely adore owls so really enjoyed seeing the barn owl up close

The hour-long show is worth the cost. Good for kids and adults. There is a small gift shop but the show is what you're there for. Be sure to book and ahead. Don't miss!

Wow what an amazing conservation project. The NZ falcon is rarer than the kiwi with only approx 10,000 in the country. Learn about them and watch them work for their dinner.

We were on a family holiday and had this recommended by a friend. What an amazing morning it was - it was the perfect ix of excitement, deeply interesting information about the birds themselves and also a fun family outing! Nice and close to the heart of Rotorua and we were spellbound by the beauty of the birds and the incredible passion of the staff at Wingspan. We learned so much about our native (and non native)b birds and the fly bys where incredible!

Is there much to see other than the flight show? If so, how much earlier than 1:30PM for the flight show would be recommended?

There is a souvineer shop that you can have a look around and a small educational museum there as well. You can have a look through the aviary before the show that has falcons,hawks and moreporks in their own enclosures. To view all I would reccomend around 45 mins or so.
