Great , a bar as it should be !

Sometimes you walk into a bar and you know , you just know. Sat down. Beer arrived promptly, staff smiling and friendly. good music playing, yep, sat back and knew I was going to be here for a good while, and a good few drinks......enjoyed every minute. Apparently only open when the nearby market is operating.

Loved Mr Chays, great atmosphere, live singer/guitarist, bustling atmosphere. It’s only open on the same days as the market but worth a visit.
Clean loos too (always worth a mention for us ladies!!)

Well what can I say? From the Tequila Connoisseur, best Tequilas this side of Heaven ❤️ A fantastically friendly and hip bar. Staff are great and Mr Chay is the MAN X Great staff, extremely helpful. Live singer on Mondays and Saturdays. He was excellent but needs to blow out singing Enrique Inglesius songs 😩 I think Lady in Red came out too 😩😩 Aside from that he sang some superb Thai numbers. Margaritas were glorious. He had Singha. Decor sublime. So great we’re returning in two days! Mr Chay is an icon, I could tell immediately.

Brilliant find while visiting Bang Niang Market

Stumbled across this bar while walking around the market one evening. A man was singing and playing a guitar, so why not we thought. Fantastic evening drinking ice cold beers watching Mr Chay as backing drummer for the guitarist. Visited twice after this. Well worth a visit

Wonderful bar hidden at the back of the market. Spent a few hours drinking very fine margaritas and losing at backgammon. Great vibe and great music, Chay is a legend, super nice chap.

A great little bar that I stumbled upon. I was walking past it and thought it had a great vibe so popped in for a quick beer.

A really friendly environment, a nice, chilled beer AND the peanuts had a couple of chillis mixed in too - perfection!

I believe they’re only open on Bang Niang market nights at the moment (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays)

Immer wieder schön bei Chay in der Bar

Es gibt so einige Bars in Khao Lak und es gibt die Mr. Chay Bar.
Durch den Umzug vom Bang Niang Market an die neue Location ist der Gemütlichkeitsfaktor gestiegen.
Bei Chay ist man nicht nur Konsument, sondern Teil des Konzepts. Daheim würde man von Erlebnisgastronomie sprechen, mit Fahnen vieler Länder, Schals diverser Vereine und lustigen Schildern. Und Chay ist halt einfach umwerfend in seiner Art, wie er mit seinen Gästen umgeht.
Wir fühlen uns hier sauwohl und man hat hier auch gerne mal Kontakt zu anderen Gästen.
Viele sind auch Deutschsprachig, leben aber hier in Khao Lak.
Besonders an den Abenden mit Livemusik macht der Besuch nochmal soviel Spass.

I have no words to adequately describe how fantastic this bar is. It is literally magical. We had the best night here, it”s so totally chilled with such an amazing ambience. Mr Chay, I salute you! Hands down the best bar in the world.

Best bar without a doubt in the Bang Niang area. Found just behind the markets. We had 3 evenings there after dinner, people watching and getting tipsy. Live music each night, which seems rare at present in Khao Lak, with a great solo'ist on guitar.
Mr Chay is front and centre each night, revelling in the bar atmosphere. An altogether really nice bar owner. Very reasonable drinks prices (Big Beer 100 bht as an example). Really good to see a family run bar pulling the area back up after the last few difficult years.

Great bar, great owner, really friendly, the Staff are the same. Good prices. Musician comes on just after 20:00, plays rock and reggae, the vibe 🎶 in the bar is really good
