Great family day out

Fantastic day out - a lil on the pricy side but worth every penny! Kids and adults had a ball! Well worth the trip but definitely make a day of it

Poor customer service, poor staff.

The young staff used to run this place are hopeless in general. They have no interest in customer service or experience. Disappointing as most of the customers are excited children. Stay away from anything that involves a harness. The staff are clueless. Queues are ridiculous. The driving school was a disaster, so inefficient and just a pointless waste of time. Some signs around food stands would be useful. Queued for 20 mins for ice cream to be told we should have paid at the other side of the building first. You pay €39 per head for the day but so much of that day is wasted due to poor management by Emerald Park. Employees look 18-25 and let the place down, they have zero motivation. Anything that has a proper system works fine, like the Cuchulain. General sense of mismanagement and poor maintenance.

Great day out

We went here for my daughter's 12th birthday. We had a great day out. Started with the Vikings as we knew that this gets busy later in the day. It's definitely the best ride in the park. You get absolutely soaked but it was so hot we dried off quick enough. I thought the park was very clean staff very pleasant and informative. The restaurant was too busy so we didn't eat there. Had ice cream of course and there were a number of snack kiosks around the park. Queues were about 30 minutes. The longest was the skywalk. This was partially because a number of smaller kids struggled to get started. Maybe starting them at the lowest level might make things move faster. Our only issue was that some people thought it was ok to hold a spot in the queue for their friends and suddenly a group would blatantly push past us to their friends/ family after us waiting so long. Perhaps the park could organise the queuing system better. All in all a fantastic day

Great Family Day Out

The park offers a great day out for all the family. Arrive early (9.30-10) to get a good parking spot and get a few rides in before the queues start. Get the free wristbands to write parent/guardian phone number on for the children in case you get split up. If you stay right until closing at 7pm, you'll get to go on all the rides without a queue from about 6pm. Bring a change of clothes if you plan to do the Viking ride as you will get wet. You can nip out to your car for this rather than carry the clothes around all day. The Junior Zone is great for children up to 5 or 6. Some height restrictions apply here too though as well as in the main area.

FOOD: The Lodge Restaurant provides a 'proper dinner' and all the others have burgers, nuggets, chips etc. A lot of them close before 5pm and a staff member told me they were all closed but the Argentinian Grill was actually open pretty much until closing at 7pm so I don't know how the staff didn't know that. The children loved the 'dunks' close to the entrance / on way to junior zone and the twisted chip is a must near the zoo area.

Family Day Out

We had not been in over a year so were excited to return. Kids are older and most definitely focused on Rollecoasters. We headed for the Flying School first and Dinosaur Dash - we ended up going on these rides a few times. We also went down to the Junior Area and enjoyed Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream - a shame none of the areas had Cookie Dough only Gluten Free variety. We were surprised that the Pizza area was not open so headed to the Lodge for Chicken Nuggets & Chips all around. Lunch was filling so we didn't need to worry about dinner. Twisted Chip was a firm favourite too!. Even though we had rain ponchos, I had forgotten that you still get quite wet when experiencing the Viking Splash! Overall, we had a fun day out, queues were maximum 10 minutes. We were rollercoasted out by 6pm. We look forward to returning in 2024 to see the new rides.

Dirty and unkept

Haven't been here in years and decided to visit before the summer ended. What a disappointment!! The park is dirty and grotty with over flowing litter bins, graffiti and weeds. There are areas around the rides where is there no attempt to upkeep or decorate or paint them so you're queuing staring at grey dirty spaces! The "room" where you queue for the 5d ride had an overflowing bin with rubbish everywhere that park workers just kept walking by! Food is awful! Only option is the standard grease laden chips, burgers etc. bring your own picnic and save yourself the money.
Queues are long but we expected that however there's no effort to make the queue experience interesting or distracting as in other theme parks we've been to abroad. Staff seemed very disinterested and moved slowly!! A park that feels unloved by staff and the owners and we didn't love it either!

Great day to go - it was sooo quiet.

Had a brilliant time. We went on the final week of august as our kids were some of the few who were not back to school yet. The park was so quiet.

Hardly had to queue at all. Most rides were 5 mins and the most we queued was 15 mins once or twice. This was def a great week to go when most of the schools were already back. Much better experience than our time here last summer on a Saturday when we actually gave up on some of the queues for rides!! We were here from 10am today and left after 5pm. We spent a whole day on rides and that was without long queues or seeing the animals. It was great! Brought a picnic. Highly recommend and the circus was 30 mins show at 2, 3.30 and 5pm. It was highly entertaining. All in all a great family day out with something for all ages. Thank you!

Don’t bother!

I disappointed family, the tickets for a family of 5 were €195, full access. My kids got on 3 rides, the queues were an absolute joke. 1hr 10 mins for duno dash, what child or parent would stand that long for a ride that lasts a few minutes?!
I thought from our last visit it had got very dirty, toilets were not good at all. Felt it was a complete waste of time and money. Would t return and wouldn’t recommend to anyone to go either.

Park was great, and amenities good. Staff in gift shop were very rude and condescending towards my son! Wasn't happy at all but didn't bother saying anything. Need better customer service!!
