30 mins descending down follow by rocky terrain with slippery surfaces be careful as tides might come unexpectedly and exercise judgement but well worth the effort going totally no signs of pollution and an advice is use a tree branch as a support you can thank me later

Getting to Suwehan beach was a very interesting trip!! Download the roads of Nusa Penida on GoogleMaps so you don't have to worry about a wrong turn, because the road condition to get there after the "turn off" (you'll absolutely know you are going the right way because of it) gets terrible VERY quick at the point you turn into the village to get to Suwehan. After the very sketchy drive (my wife and I did it on a scooter with two FULL backpacks... and it was not a fun drive!) you'll get into a small village and on the other side you'll see the edge of the cliffs as well as some terraces for local farming. We stayed at the Air Bnb tree houses there which were amazing (though eco-cottages, so make sure you are aware of what those are before you reserve one with the wrong idea) whcih was about a 3 minute walk to the temple before you start the descent hike down to the beach.
The hike down has seen some avalanches and it may seem a little sketch, however as a 240 pound, 6 foot 6 man, I wasn't worried about the ground going out from under me. There is a really pretty stopping point with a shrine and natural springs there, however when we went it was closed and didn't have much worth other than maybe a little creepy and slippery (it's completely flat there so no worry about the hike). Once you actually get to the bottom the beach was virtually empty (one fisherman was there) for about 2 hours! Well worth the trip for the privacy and beautiful views from top and bottom of the cliff

Wow, was für eine Enttäuschung. Hatten das hier als Geheimtipp genannt bekommen und uns einiges erhofft. Haben den Ausflug an unserem 4. Tag auf Nusa Penida mit dem Roller gemacht und können behaupten, dass der Weg der grauenvollste war, den wir hier zurücklegen mussten. Eine lange Zeit war die Straße (vom Norden aus) super. Aber die letzten 5/6 km (!) waren der Horror, ich musste sicherheitshalber mehrfach absteigen (Beifahrerin Roller).
Endlich angekommen kamen uns schon 4 Personen entgegen, die abwinkten und uns offenbarten, dass wir es vergessen könnten - wegen der Flut (ca. 10:30 Uhr) sei kein Strand da und der Abstieg sei eh zu gefährlich. Haben es natürlich trotzdem probiert. Anfangs war der Weg völlig okay, es gibt Treppen & ein Holzgeländer. Der Ausblick von hier ist super schön! Tolle Farben und wir haben sogar 3 große Mantarochen gesehen.
Irgendwann hat die Treppe aufgehört aber das ist ja an sich nichts Besonderes. Allerdings war es dort besonders steil und man hätte sich an einem Seil abhangeln müssen. Das Seil ist leider viel zu kurz und die Situation somit in unseren Augen lebensgefährlich (und wir sind hier schon zu einigen Stränden/Buchten heruntergeklettert).
Aufwand und Ertrag stehen hier in völligem Missverhältnis und der halbe Tag war ‚verloren‘. Schade !

Penida's landscape makes it challenging to reach almost all good beaches maybe crystal bay and Toyah Pakeh harbour are the only exception. Approach roads are really bad followed by the stairs which are actually not bad. Last stretch is challenging like almost every beach in Penida. Once you reach, you need to walk your way through small rocks to the beach area. But if you are fit enough, i don't anyone can dislike what's there. Nice streatch of white sands with hardy any tourist

Attention trajet pour accéder à la plage très difficile, j'ai le vertige et j'y suis arrivée mais j'ai eu très très peur mais je ne regrette pas c'était fantastique. Il faut y aller avant 14h car après il n'y a plus de soleil et la marrée monte. Les vagues sont assez fortes mais l'eau est sublime et il n'y a quasi personne sur la plage c'est le rêve. Par contre la route en scooter C'est l'horreur mais ça se fait, c'est l'aventure.

Wir waren dort gegen 13.30 Uhr. Vom Strand war von oben aufgrund der Flut nicht mehr viel zu sehen. Aus diesem Grund sind wir auch nicht runter. Die Treppen sind in schlechten Zustand und für die meisten eher ein Grund oben zu bleiben.
Für uns ist der Strand kein Grund um extra hinzufahren.
Die Straße dort hin ist außerdem eher ein sehr sehr schlechter Feldweg als eine Straße und übertrifft jede andere Straße auf Nusa Penida um Längen. Dieser Weg aufm Roller ist eine Herausforderung da eher eine Motorcross Maschine angebracht wäre. Wir hatten auf dem Weg aus diesem Grund viel Spaß und werden das niemals vergessen. Für die meisten wird die Straße mir dem Roller jedoch eher ein Albtraum sein.
Für uns ist der Strand kein Grund um extra hinzufahren.

Auch wenn die Straße schlecht zu befahren ist (ist sie im übrigen bei fast allen Sehenswürdigkeiten auf Nusa Penida) und der Weg eher eine Klettersteig ähnelt und nichts für Angsthasen ist - der Strand ist atemberaubend. Zudem ist mal (fast) alleine... Neben einem weiteren Pärchen waren wir komplett alleine. Nicht zum Baden oder Sonnen geeignet, da die Wellen doch sehr stark sind und diese auch bis fast nach "oben" gehen. Zudem sollte man morgens hin, damit man noch die Sonenstrahlen erwischt (Ostseite).
Für mich war es das Highlight!!!

Belle plage préservée
L’accès est compliqué la route est défoncée et les escaliers pour descendre assez raides au milieu et avec peu de protection si c en est des cordes

Walk down the stairs (that is the easiest part).
Continue walking down and there are more stairs. You will come to a part where the stairs are steep and you need to use the rope to support yourself to go down, the ropes definitely help. I was pretty much clinging on to the rope going down the stairs and feeling like Tarzan.
Halfway you come across like a pool, very clear water but the floor is disgusting looking, it's slippery so I walked on the dry area (in my pic you can see me balancing my arms trying not to fall in the ditch or the disgusting floor). Continue down more steep stairs and rope hugging. Finally you come to the end of the stairs there are plenty of big/small rocks.
Climb on the rock and head towards your left side.
There are no path yet, you need to continue walking on the rocks, becareful some of the rocks might be loose, be sure to test it first before stepping on it with your full weight. We made it to the middle part of the beach, we change into our swimwear, but did not set our towels to lie on because the water came alll the way up the beach.
The waves are huge, boyfie went and swim anyway, well he could take the hit, if me i'll be dead and swimming with the fishes for real.
If you are ambitious you can walk all the way left there is bigger space on the beach there so probably you could actually lie on the beach.
We played with the water a little bit the started to head back before it gets dark.
I swear I crawl back up on all 4 like a dog, i didn't care how i look from behind because my legs just couldn't take the stairs anymore.
