We had a great fun learning and getting ourselves open water certified.
Definitely fits into many singaporean’s busy schedule, leaving Singapore on a Saturday boat at 5 (do have your dinner before going on board) coming back on Sunday 8.30pm
Most work will be minimally affected.
Price is very affordable too!
Safety was of upmost importance, our live on board (Lob) was good too, being well fed and taken care by the crew.
We were lucky to see pink dolphins at our first dive site when on board!
Our instructors Gary, Vivien and Matthew were really good with their padi skills, so you’re definitely in good hands.

ダイバーです。この船には何度か乗っています。レジャーダイブの人は金曜の夜7時半タナメラフェリーターミナル集合8時半発のフェリーなので、金曜夕方退社後に自宅に荷物を取りに行っても十分間に合います。シンガポールから週末行くダイビングトリップはティオマンが有名ですが、陸路の国境越えが年々つらくなってきたので、GSダイビングが開催しているMV SEABORNEによる、バタムとビンタン周りの週末ダイブクルーズが気に入っています。ティオマンに行くよりははるかに体が楽です。ただしダイビングはあんまり期待しちゃダメ。視界は３－１０Ｍ、よくて10Mですからね。
船自体は、小さいながらもそれなりに快適、シンガポール人がゲストの主体なので、ご飯もシンガポール人の嗜好に合わせたメニューですが日本人でもそこそこ食べられます（が、自分用おやつを持っていくの推奨）
寝る船室は劇狭いのと、その分エアコンがよく効くので寝るときはあったかい恰好をお勧めします。
ダイビングの合間に、上階のデッキの日陰で、ぼーっとお昼寝するのは最高です。Wi-Fiはありませんが大抵の場所でシグナルは入りますのでローミング推奨。
ダイビングはナイトも含めて最大７本くらいです。
オーナーが中華系シンガポ―リアンだからか、ダイブガイドも中華系シンガポール人が主体、ゲスト構成はその時々によって変わりますが、半数ぐらいが講習を受けに来ている人で、レジャーダイバーは少数派です。ビンタン、バタム周りの航路ではダイビングが素晴らしいわけではありませんが、ぽっかり予定の開いた週末にふらっと気分転換に行くには最適の場所です。安いし（笑）

It was a great fuss-free process throughout: booking the course, getting from Singapore to Batam and then onboard Seaborne. Meals are great and there was ample space to rest on deck between dives. Gary and his dive masters (Shannon, Wen Yong, Andrew and Michele were on this trip) and crew were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The most convenient PADI open water course you can do from Singapore. :D Fellow divers were good company too.

If you living in Singapore and are looking for a hassle-free trip to receive your PADI Open Water Certification around Singapore, GS-Diving offers the perfect package. You are only 1 hour away from the city and only need one free weekend.
The crew and the boat were very nice and took care of everything throughout the entire trip. All we had to do was to put on our gear before the dive and take it off afterwards!
The water quality and the view is certainly not the best that you can have for scuba-diving but certainly way better than expected. We saw an entire reef including a ship wreck and turtles! Especially as a beginner, you are more concerned with finding your buoyancy and breating calmly, so the surroundings are not the most important thing anyways.
Gary was a great instructor who gave us enough freedom to explore diving but was always in charge and ready to help in difficult situations. I trusted him 100% while being under water. He taught us all the necessary things that have to be done in order to get certified but incorporated a lot of fun along the way.

We were a group of 4 and we did our Open Water Course with Gary and his team. The whole experience was wonderful and the accommodation and food was totally worth the price. Thanks to Gary and his great time.

Overall experience was great. Everything we needed was communicated effectively and timely. The accommodations were comfortable with all basic needs met. The dive training was very enjoyable. Great crew and people!

Live aboard experience at a great price with great divemasters and instructors. I got 6 dives over 2 days for my AOW which is awesome. Will not hesitate to recommend if you'd like to dive departing from Singapore.

Fantastic LOB experience with Gary and helpful crew members. We completed our AOW course there and it was a great time with our instructor, Hilary Chua. Definitely highly recommend for leisure divers too who crave to get underwater but only have the weekend to spend

Gary at GS-Diving arranged a great trip on the boat. The dives were well run, equipment in great condition and all of the DMs, instructors and crew were friendly and helpful. Some of us passed PADI OW, some PADI Advanced whilst others had some leisure dives. Overall a great weekend in the water.
