This was a highlight of our trip! Eddie, our tour guide, also went out of his way to make sure we had the best time! We couldn’t have asked for anything more! Thankful we got to experience these beautiful locations and grateful to Eddie for the best time!

Terrible Cruise Line CELEBRITY very sad Below is what I sent to the president of the company and received no response! Ms. Zimmerman Mr. Bethge I can’t in my opinion decide which is more deplorable and unacceptable, your actions as a supposed travel professional and booking us on this ship or those of the Celebrity Cruise Lines for having this ship in service. My wife and I have been Crown & Anchor members since 1995, when my company hosted over one hundred or more customers each year on an incentive trip, and it usually involved a RC lines cruise. But we stopped cruising years ago due to the direction we felt the industry was going and our customers were becoming less impressed and complaining about the food, service and for our company the cost was getting out of hand. Since retirement we decided to explore the option and thought an Alaskan cruise would be perfect since we had planned one for our tenth anniversary but were unable. So, we persuaded my seventy-three-year-old aunt it was a good idea, as her first venture on a ship, and joined in with the group that her friend is a member, well as will read, it was not and all of you should be ashamed. First: The fact that one of the highlights or supposed to be, is that it was a glacier and wildlife viewing and the forward sky lounge that was built for this purpose has thirty or more percent of the windows are so damaged and dirty you cannot view through them. Also, the veranda glass had the same hand smears, and I am guessing salt spray stained on it when we arrived as it was still when we left, I mean really are squeegees that expensive and hard to train someone to use? And while I am mentioning the shape of the ship, how old nicked, scratched and ratty furniture is, especially that on the veranda my wife guessed twenty or more years. Second: The basic cleanliness is not up to par or even close the same piece of two-inch black hair that on the bath vanity between the sink and the mirror, that was there the day we arrived was still there the day we departed, yes, I am seventy and my wife is sixty-nine so you can guess what color our hair is, not black! Third: It is sad when the food in the main cafeteria is better than the main dining room. Two of the lovely ladies at our table ordered the up-charged lobster, it arrived cold and chewy. If it had been mine, I would have had it removed and taken off my bill. They were unfortunately not willing to be confrontational and just did not eat it and the wait staff chose to ignore the fact. Unfortunately for your chef who visited our table the next night did get an ear full about the faux pax and that fact that the same salmon on the menu each night was unacceptable, he agreed they/ he could do better and that is exactly where it was left by your staff, not a thing changed! I also want to mention that it took up until the third night for our group to be seated together, even though Anthony the head greeter apologized for the mix up and did his darnedest to make it happen sooner. Fourth: Your shore excursion BC Sites and bites really did. The fact that it was sights one of the main attractions in the city tour (fan Tan Alley) was locked up, to the guides’ dismay and calls that went unanswered, so we moved on. Also, the food was not anything to brag about, and it became obvious that the proprietors thought it was a good way to sell drinks. At the second stop the guy literally thru three 12” cutting boards in front of ten people that had a couple slices of two kinds of meat and some slices of cheese and bread. I guess he, expected us to rip it up with our hands and I do not eat meat. At the third stop the guide was apparently instructed by the restaurant to inquire about food allergies, I received three nacho / guacamole chips which were good, the others had to eat mini beef slider’s, my wife said hers was good! Fifth: And this may be the most upsetting of all or at least for my wife it was in the top two, you ran out of lite beer really, how can you run out of beer. It was completely confusing that it took my wife four days to get a Michelob Ultra as the bar staff kept saying they did not have it at each location we visited. Then by chance while shopping we were by the casino bar and low and behold there was a ultra can on it. My wife inquired and guess what? Apparently was the only one until they finally had it at the mast bar for a day than it was no longer available. But the bar guy after being gone for fifteen minutes did come back with a Coors lite because they had also run out of Bud Lite. But the final straw was when she tried twice to get one at two different bars and the last time the server in the main stairwell bar came over and brought me my drink and said she had to go elsewhere to get one. After thirty minutes my wife said she was done and it was time to go, we did not try a third time. As a note the bar staff in each location worked their keester off trying to keep up up with customer demand but to no avail. I am guessing a customers standing at the bar for well over twenty minutes and not to get a drink was not well received and the wait staff were almost nonexistent in the evenings! Jessica, my wife told me to get us out of this trip after it became obvious that you could not even answer the simplest of itemized questions, but I wanted to travel with my aunt and was looking forward to Alaska, obviously my mistake and I will be hearing about tit for a bit. Example one, I specifically asked you if we could get adjoining unit with a lock off so we could gather on the veranda with my aunt and her friend, and you said it did not have them. Well, it does have a glass panel that opens on each side of the veranda, in fact we had to have maintenance come and tighten them because of the wind causing them to clang and keep us awake. Unfortunately, it took three days for it to get it repaired even though the customer service people kept following up and saying it was going to get done. Example two; if you are sending a group on a tour, especially on a ship, arrange a few gatherings so they can all meet. I mean really some of my customers greatest and longtime friendship and a few of mine are from these gatherings. And yes, they had them on this ship the quilting ladies met multiple times and there was even a private evening function in the indoor pool / hot tub area that kept the area open after seven pm, which I and many people we met were not happy about. Most of my travel companions agreed that a wonderful way to end to an evening is with a visit to the hot tub or sauna right before you turned in and it should be available!

We do not think that we would have wanted to see the Enlgand countryside and the Cotswalds with anyone but David Stubbs. He picked us up punctually from our cruise terminal in Southampton in a beautiful, clean Mercedes (room for 6.) He asked us if we had a specific itinerary and we gave him a few ideas but allowed him to make suggestions as he knows the best places to go. He tried to get us into HIghclere Castle and it was closed but we did see it from afar and the grounds were amazing. Next stop was the Cotswalds. We stopped at Bampton where some of Downton Abbey was filmed--the church and Crawley's house were fun to see. We then stoppped at a few of the other villages, each with its own personality and vibe. Loved the quaintness of Upper Slaughter and the activity of Stow on the Wold. David reserved a place for us to eat at the Queen's Head which was wonderful, followed by a cocktail at the oldest drinking establishment in England--the Porch House. We ended our trip at Bourton on the Water on a beautiul sunny day. David then dropped us off at our Airport hotel. We can not say enough about David's knowledge, sense of humor, and kindness. If we ever come back, we would not want to book with anyone else but David and London Country Tours.

The title sums it up … Fantastic and Fabulous!!! FanTabulous is how I would describe our private tour with the great David Stubbs of London Country Tours. Mr. Stubbs is professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. He made sure to assist and direct us to the proper websites to obtain tickets and reserve times for our tours of Stonehenge and the Roman Baths in the beautiful city of Bath. He is well versed with the history, the unbeaten paths, and overall best experience for a private tour. The pub selection in Bath was an excellent choice. And the trip was wrapped up with a visit to Castle Combe in the Cotswold area - just lovely. Wish we had more time to book a few more tours with Mr. Stubbs. I would not take another trip without booking my tours with him and London Country Tours. I highly recommend him to all who are planning a trip to England.

The tour was fantastic. Graham was knowledgeable and made the long stretches of driving fly by. We did the Windsor and Stonehenge trip (however we decided to forgo a pub lunch and grab a sandwich on the go to hit Salisbury as well). Graham took care of us at each site with instructions and insider tips. The vehicle was lovely and the caramels delicious!

We had a memorable experience exploring the English coast, from Dover to Hastings, with London Country Tours! While planning a recent (July 2023) trip to England, we knew we would be spending several days in and around London and Canterbury. We wanted to do something totally different on our last day, so decided to contact LCT. David Stubbs responded promptly to our initial inquiry, as well as to all of our follow-up questions. Once we settled on a plan, scheduling with him was hands down the easiest of all the arrangements we made. We simply provided our pick-up (city hotel) and drop-off (airport hotel) locations, the number of people (6) and it was booked! It almost seemed too easy, but lo and behold, our driver Stephen (Steve) arrived on the appointed morning and right on time. He introduced himself, greeted us, loaded our luggage, reviewed our itinerary, offered a couple of suggestions to which we were amenable, and off we went. Throughout the day, we went with several of Steve’s suggestions, all of which were great and a couple that turned out to be hidden gems. He was very easy to get along with, spending time getting to know each of us and making suggestions to fit everybody’s interests. Along the way and between stops, Steve entertained us with stories, including, to my daughter’s delight, a recounting of some famous bands he had chauffeured in his van (a clean and spacious Mercedes). He even helped fulfill my son’s only request that day – to eat some seafood by the water – helping us to locate a small fish and chips spot that served the local catch, and yes, was by the sea. All in all, it was an awesome day! When we were sufficiently tired, Steve, who by this time was like a member of the family, drove us to our drop-off location where we paid him and said our farewells. Job well done! We were fully aware that we were hiring a driver and not a tour guide, but feel like we got the best of both with London Country Tours. We would not hesitate to contact David Stubbs, and to request Stephen, in the future. Our day out with Steve was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to England!

Upon searching for tours, we came across London Country Tours. Grateful we did! We contacted David with some questions and received a very quick response. We decided on the private tour to the Cotswolds and a private driver/tour to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. While we booked tickets for the sites independently, David assisted with times. He also secured airport transfers for us, which was appreciated.
Our tour driver/guide, Steve, was truly amazing. While it was not listed as a guided tour, Steve went above and beyond to ensure we visited the most beautiful places in the Cotswolds. In addition, he shared interesting facts and stories as only a local could. He kept us intrigued the entire trip. Steve was professional and courteous yet extremely "cheeky" which we sincerely appreciated. By the end of our two days together, Steve felt like an extension of our family. Again, we are truly grateful for the memorable experiences he provided.
Mo, who provided our airport transfers, was professional, courteous and prompt. We appreciated his great service.

What an amazing time we had with London Country Tours, from start to finish it was everything we expected, they did not disappoint!
Let me start by saying we read all the reviews and descriptions of all the tours offered. We knew exactly what was included and what was not included in the pricing. We knew we had to purchase our admission tickets in advance. David was excellent from the first moment we contacted him. He worked with us to design the perfect itinerary, from suggesting the time slots for the tickets to adding in a special location my nephew wanted to visit. It truly was a joy working with David to get the perfect tour booked.
We loved the hotel pickup and drop off, it was so convenient especially after a long day. Our driver Steve met us promptly at 8am. He was friendly, welcoming and was as excited about the day as we were. We had my two nephews with us (17 &20 years of age) Steve made the trip so fun for them! He took time to get to know them. Throughout the day he would talk to them about sports or events that interested them. They especially enjoyed the trivia games Steve would engage in with us. Asking us questions and we would all compete to get the correct answer. The boys really enjoyed that and it provided for many laughs and great memories.
You just could not get that personalized treatment on a large tour bus. Steve went out of his way to make the educational part of the trip fun for them. Steve was excellent, safe, fun, engaging and provided the perfect amount of commentary and knowledge.
We knew we had a packed day we hoped to see 7 places. Steve made sure we got to see everything on our list. He even took us to some special spots to take a few memorable photos. I could go on and on about how perfect this tour company is. We were well aware that they did not go into the locations with us, they were clear as to meeting and pick up locations in each town. We were in constant contact with Steve through texts at every location we visited.
At one point we wanted a bit more time in a location and Steve took care of calling the next location to move our admission ticket to a later time so we could accommodate all of the locations on our list. This company and the guide truly will do whatever they can to make sure you get the experience you wanted. At least that was our experience, we could not have been happier. We booked two tours and we were thrilled to find out that Steve would be our guide for the second tour two days later.
We so enjoyed spending our first tour day with Steve. At the end of the day we felt like we had a new cousin, it was just so comfortable and fun.
David responded to all our inquiries in a timely manner it made for an easy, enjoyable tour planning experience. I even mentioned to David that we needed to arrange a transfer from the airport to our hotel and then a return back to the airport at the end of our trip...David even assisted me with setting that up.
Honestly they above and beyond making sure we were taken care of from the moment we arrived in England. We can't thank them enough and we look forward to using them again on our next visit to England.

Steve said you were all perfect.
We do go.out of our way to please and make sure you have a good time.
Its so annoying with some of the bad reviews.
They are not able to enjoy the day.
Always looking for small faults.
Do you know recently.someone marked me down because I was quiet on return journey.
They forgot to mention they were asleep for most of that.
I'm so glad you had such a great time.
We welcome you all with open arms next time you come over.

Wonderful day walking around Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon. Stephen was very knowledgeable and prompt and even responded to our special request to find some football jerseys we were looking for while visiting. Highly recommend!!

We took a private driver (Marty T.) to Stonehenge and Oxford. The vehicle was a Mercedes van and was extremely comfortable and roomy. The trip was flexible and we chose our destinations as we went. Marty was fantastic. He was a pleasure to talk with and was very knowledgeable and down to earth. He had a great sense of humor and made us feel at home.
The journey was fantastic. Stonehenge has great energy and such beautiful countryside. Oxford was at the top of the trip with its incredible architecture and history. Nothing can compare. Wish we could spend a month there exploring. Just amazing. We highly recommend Marty as your private driver and will surly ask for him again when we return.

Could you tell me why ad arts of viator tours. Which are much more expensive on your site.

These are all genuine from our clients who have had a wonderful time.
For some reason.viator have hijacked our site and are advertising tours for viator.
Much more expensive. And seems all from the same company.
Please ignore these.
We are trying to get these removed.
If any one can help. This would be great.

On Wednesday, September 16th, 2015, I want to join a few people in a mini-van for day tour of Stonehenge, Bath, and perhaps villages or Cotswalds or other ruins of interest. Not Oxford, Blenheim or Windsor etc., which some tours add on to Stonehenge/Bath.
I will be staying in Mayfair. One adult.
Can't figure out how to get prices or sign up for London Country Private Tours. Your posted reviews are excellent, but other companies make it easier to book!

I agree with the above response. If you contact David through his website, he will reply using his personal email. Be sure to let him know specifically what you would like to see and do. He will make suggestions to make the most of your day. Personally, his tours are the best; speaking from having taken 6 other tours during the years. Good luck!
