57 Restaurant - ideal venue for kids bday parties

We organised my 7 year old's birthday party at the "ground floor restaurant- 57" in Jetwing Colombo 7 recently and were very very impressed with the quality of service and delivery. Everything was great- the food, cleanliness, the ability of the staff to handle special requests in the last minute, the ability of the staff to work with other vendors incl. those who brought the decor, other party furniture, cake etc. independently, their hospitality and thoughtfulness in dealing with kids and guests and much more. Highly recommend this venue for kids birthday parties. All my guests loved the party and many have already asked for the contact of the place to host their own parties here.

Kudos to the fearless leader Siva who deserves a special mention for his leadership, customer focus and action bias and to his full team- Arjuna, Nihan, Aravinth and all the crew of the Restaurant! Thank you so much team!

Munneshwaram Hindu temple is a religious place in North Western Province of Sri Lanka. Pilgri mages from all parts of Sri Lanka comes across to this place to get a unique experince.

Sri Lankans believe that their wishes will definitely comes true, if they worship this place and deliver the wish in front of the god.

A famous and ancient Hindu temple complex

A famous religious site and temple complex in Chilaw with shrines to Shiva, Kali, Aiyanna, and Ganesha. The Munneswaram Kovil is very much worth at least a half day visit along with the fabulous but less ancient Murugan Kovil just outside Chilaw. Be aware of touts attempting to direct you to puja stalls when you arrive by car. They are very likely on commission and we purchased exactly the same puja items for half the price (1000 not 2000! lkr) just outside the main roadside entrance and next to the Ganesha shrine.

Interestingly, the Kali shrine also contains a famous area for making curses... A very small fenced/gated area for placing the curse whilst breaking a coconut.

Très intéressant à visiter. On peut voir les offrandes achetées par les fidèles et entendre les prières. grandes variétés de décoration très colorés. Commentaires developpés de Justine notre guide Kappa

Wir waren die einzigen Touristen dort - ein ziemlich bunter Hindutemple – gegenüber am Straßenstand wollten wir Obst kaufen, da hieß es dann dieses Obst sei nicht zum Essen sondern für Buddha (? Hindutemple?)

Très belles visite , au centre de ville d'une temple indou qui grandit au fil du temps. Offrande à ramener à l'intérieur !

Tempio molto bello e caratteristico. Noi abbiamo avuto la possibilità di visitarlo durante la preghiera ed eravamo gli unici turisti. Gli ambulanti di frutta all'esterno sono un po molesti, ma basta ignorarli.
