It was the start of this year's Sydney Hobart Race and the captain showed his experience with placing the boat at a premium spot. We were in the front row to follow the front runners directly after they reached out the Heads. We've been very close with them the whole time, on our way back we were able to go through the whole fleet.
Also we had a nice lunch on board prepared by the family.

Make sure you take seasick pills before heading out in case the sea is rough. Nearly half of the passengers got sick halfway through the trip
The tour was wonderful. The staff is friendly and kept on checking if you are alright.
We managed to spot a juvenile whale and took some photos in the cold.

Excellent trip, once in a life time experience. Very experienced captain and crew, very smooth journey that nobody got sea sick. We were very lucky to see a mother and baby whale, a super active whale that did a lot of tail flapping and a number of dolphins that swam along!

The whole experience was so special. The crew were so friendly and caring. The captain found an incredible amount of whales for us to view. We saw them breach, blow, the tails waving at us. His skill with the boat allowed us to follow them in parallel and view the whales up close. His knowledge of whales and sea life was an added bonus.
Definitely recommend this cruise.

What a great way to spend a beautiful winter afternoon. Crew were excellent. Skipper gave a commentary throughout, pointing out locations of interest on the way out of the heads.
Followed a small pod of 4 whales who put on a show. Signs of other whales observed further out. Even got to see a playful dolphin join the whales.
Good sized vessel with about 70 people on board. Good viewing.
Easy access for Harborside parking to Wharf 7 at darling harbour. Well priced.
Trip ended with a hot cup of tea or coffee.

A fun late afternoon boat trip out off the entrance to Sydney Harbour.
departed Darling Harbour around 3:30PM and got out to the area some 30 minutes later. Big thanks to Glenn (pilot) and Ben ( deckhand) for looking after us for the tour.
Saw 2 younger whales reasonably close together and altho they were not particularly active it was still a fun time. We had an amazing sunset to the west over Sydney and the trip was worth it for that alone. after about an hour in the area the boat headed back to port and arrived there around 6:30pm.
Would we go again ... definitely ... and hopefully the whales are a little more playful next time :)

Let's start with the mu dance but important stuff, 3 boats were put on to accommodate everyone, we were greeted with hand sanitizer and social distancing was encouraged. Easy to follow safety instructions, friendly and professional crew and whilst we didn't have our children with us today, we would 100% book them and bring them with us next time!
Now onto the fun stuff, we set sail from Darling Harbour and out of the heads into open water and it wasn't too long before we came across a couple of humpback whales who were intent on having fun and it was incredible to see and have this experience of a lifetime!
We will definitely be doing this again.

We went on the midday whale watching cruise and were incredibly lucky to have two humpback whales that came right up to us and were swimming around the boats and repeatedly breaching and slapping their fins. They appeared to be showing off for us! The adults on the cruise were clapping and shouting with excitement. We also saw seals and dolphins on the way out through the Heads.
The crew were knowledgeable and appeared to be as excited as we were. Make sure you dress warmly as you’ll want to be on the deck and you’re likely to get a few splashes.

Went on the morning whale watching trip which was great. Saw some humpback Whales. Unfortunately, didn't manage to capture the breaching action on camera.

Hi, is pick up possible from Manly? Also, is the tour suitable for elderly who requires sitting most time?

Thankyou for contacting us. Our whale watching cruises depart from King Street Wharf 7 in Darling Harbour, Sydney. The boat does not come into Manly so unfortunately we are unable to offer a Manly pick up. May I suggest that if you are elderly and require seating that you choose your weather carefully. The calmer the ocean conditions the easier it will be on board and more enjoyable for you. Both our boats have seating for all passengers however when whale watching it is often advisable to move about the boat as the whales are also moving. If you have any further questions please contact us.
