The service wasn’t so much terrible, just nonexistent. From the time we turned up after opening time to a closed door and told to wait outside it was a customer experience disappointment. No menus were brought, we had to figure out it wasn’t table service, fetched our own drinks from the fridge! HOWEVER, the food was pretty great. The Japanese Buddha bowl special with some kind of incredible miso pesto was devine. An Australian porridge with vanilla and macadamia was appreciated. And the tomato beans also tasty. Coffees were average.

This gorgeous little cafe has it all - fabulous coffee, delicious home-made food and a beautiful garden for children to play in. I sat in the May sunshine, sipping my latte, watching one grandson mow the lawn, and another water the plants with a tin watering can, and thought "life doesn't get much better than this"!

I always love visiting Neighbourhood because of the beautiful atmosphere, but it can sometimes be a hit and miss with their menu. One of my favourite coffee alternatives is the Turmeric Masala Chai, however on my most recent visit this was served lukewarm and tasted more akin to a glass of warm milk. Considering that I had paid $5 for the smallest size, I was a little disappointed. The staff are usually friendly and the service is never slow.

The Neighbourhood is a great cafe...excellent coffee and a good menu that often has some unusual and quirky combinations that somehow work. They roast their own beans, which you can also buy along with a selection of other home coffee appliances like hand grinders. You can stop in for a takeaway, sit in, check out the back garden (and see what they’re growing) or sit in the window or out the front with the dog. I really love it, and the service is usually very good.

Such a lovely spot at this former general store! We came across this on a UrbanList page that we are ticking off the list. Very good coffee and friendly welcoming service.

This place is beautifully set up. Garden is lovely and great for kids. Coffee is good, food is healthy.

Unexpected - we gathered with our friends for an informal lunch - nothing was too much trouble for the team at neighbourhood - unfazed by a gathering of mums, toddlers and babies - yummy lunchtime bites - pint sized milkshakes - the best coffee - and sparkling water on tap- bench style seating handy when active toddlers come for coffee!!

Coffee here is seriously great. Breakfast options are very limited, and there is no flexibility (even when the cafe is quiet) to prepare even scrambled eggs or slightly harder poached eggs. I found this a bit frustrating as other options are limited, but this cafe has a great vibe, nice staff and excellent coffee.

Warehouse feeling to this roasters. Easy going service and decent coffee. Brown sugar on the tables which is a nice touch. I had 🥑 on toast and it was decent yet pricey.

I've been here a couple of times now. It's a nice atmosphere in a repurposed house in keeping with the character of the area. The coffee and slices are really good and the staff do a great job. It can get pretty crowded and noisy, which can be a bit of a downside if you mistimed your visit, otherwise highly recommended.
