G'Day Bill, I was expecting this. 1. I will be the first to admit that of late I have been time deficient and struggle to respond to every inquiry quickly and often have to prioritise which emails I respond to. I recognise that I can be slow to respond to emails which is why I encourage people to call me with their questions instead. 2. Old Jindabyne town is only remnants. It is not as if it were flooded yesterday and it was comprised of reinforced concrete and is standing exactly as it were before it was flooded. We are searching for it via shore yes. There is only one boat option we could use to dive from and it is hideously expensive particularly given we are restricted to a group of 4 based on course standards. 3. I never stated that we would be cutting a hole in to the ice at any stage. The photo was used as it was indicative of ice diving but I can see how you would think this was misleading and has been replaced with a photo of me from the last course. The course is the only one of it's kind in the Southern hemisphere and one of the few scheduled in the world. Whilst the cost may seem high it is predominantly taken up by accommodation costs where rooms rates are at a premium during the ski season. To meet your expectations I would need to charge at least double what I do and would struggle to find students willing to pay it.
