This was a trip of a lifetime for us both. It was wonderful how Johnny introduced us to his Country. He showed us the fabulous Quinkin Artworks in the overhang that was below our campsite. We felt privileged to be able to see these pristine examples of the Aboriginal cultural expression so carefully explained to us by Johnny.
My wife had felt that this experience gave her a spiritual connection to Johnny's Country that she had not had in all her time in Australia.
The travel to the campsite was also a fun part of the trip ... Johnny effortlessly navigated rough tracks through what was a surprisingly varied landscape.
We can highly recommend this trip for all those willing to gain a greater appreciation of a culture and its people that have cared for this land for sixty thousand years.
Thank you Johnny for providing this highlight of our journey around Australia.

This was both an experience and an education of the highest level. We got a real sense of achievement from the 4WD experience in and that was something we didn’t expect. Then Johnny is the ultimate guide, both passionate and highly knowledgable and just good fun to be around. He makes you feel so at home and part of his family. This is a very special experience.

A totally unique, beautiful experience that will open your eyes to the vastness of land, space, history and Australian culture. A must do if visiting Australia from overseas, or the perfect 'Australian' experience for those wanting to explore their own backyard. As rough and rugged as you'd expect in the outback with the perfect pairing of a curated hospitality experience. I hope I can visit again.

Yep! we got a pretty good back yard, glad you got to check it out and experience it first hand.
Your an absolute trooper for getting up that escarpment (and back) to see rock art that I don't normally take guests to.

We set off on what we thought was an indigenous art tour, BOY IT WAS SO MUCH MORE. This tour took us to Country that we would never have had the privilege to see if Johnny had not guided us through his peoples land. We were picked up in Laura in a buggy/4WD and within a few minutes we were off on the adventure of a lifetime, driving through rugged land and creeks seeing unspoiled landscape. We spent 3 days with Johnny, in that time we walked upon paths and land that his ancestors have walked and lived on for thousands of years. We walked in the escarpment and saw his families history in art, it was incredibly personal for Johnny to share this place with us along with his cultural and family narrative. we swam in fresh water pools (no crocodiles) and sat each evening around a huge bonfire chatting and sharing stories after being fed a wholesome meal in the shared base camp. We camped on the top of the escarpment in tents which were not glamping but comfortable with all bedding provided. This tour was just 3 days out of a 6 week tour to Cape York, I can honestly say it is the best experience that I had. Jonny is a wonderful communicator and educator. I wish that everyone could experience Jarramali Rock Art Tour. Thanks Jonny for the trip of a lifetime. Pam

This was an experience of a lifetime. To be out on country exploring the earliest existence of human life in Australia through rock art and learning about the culture. Johnny and his team are first class and the environment you will never forget.

I can't describe how great Jarramali Rock are tours are, truly a wonderful experience camping at the site, exploring the pristine country with Johnny, learning about Yalanji culture, bush tucker and seeing incredible rock art.
The camp is excellent, the catering and hospitality are fantastic. Highly recommended! I can't wait to go back.

We were pleased when Johnny was able to fit us in on our driving trip to Cooktown. This was a real highlight and exceeded our expectations. A mix of adventure and bush comfort. The art is awe inspiring in both scope and quality. The scenery also blew us away and was a great setting to enjoy the company of fellow travellers with the fine meals. Johnny works very hard to ensure guests enjoy their visit and take away new knowledge and warm memories. A world class experience .

A tour of Jarramali with Johnny is truly a once in a lifetime experience. The attention to detail and care that Johnny takes with his tour groups and the massive respect he has for his traditional land is just fantastic.
The rock art will blow you away and the country you are in is a magical part of Australia that I am so appreciative to have had the opportunity to see.
Looking forward to visiting again one day with my family - I highly recommend this tour.

We spent 2 nights and 3 days with Johnny on this remarkable first nation's rock art site. The 'Magnificent' Gallery is a huge treasure of art going back 15,000 years. To stand on this site and listen to Johnny talk about it is to gain some understanding of the importance of country to first nation's people. Vivid and clear depictions of spirits, wildlife, culture and inhabitants.
Also exciting four wheel driving to get there, great food, lots of information about birds, flora and bush medicines.
