This is a great walk that anybody can do, Has oceon views and is relativel easy to do. A good way to go is from the inlet you will end up at 4 mile beach and walk back through the town. very popular early in the morning.

Chris has been in the area for 30 years and knows the local information that you won't get out of a guidebook. A little light on the textbook history of Port Douglas, but quite interesting nonetheless. He had quite a bit of knowledge about the birds and plants of the area. Would definitely recommend.

What a good way to get to know the history of Port Douglas. Informative with beautiful views all around. What a lovely way to start the day.

My husband and I were staying in Port Douglas for a week and took the walk with Chris on our first morning. Chris suggested a 7.30am start as it is hot in December. A good move. Chris has lived in Port Douglas for more than 30 years and was able to tell us about the lifestyle, history and changes in Port Douglas. Chris is also an avid bird watcher and pointed out many of the birds we saw with some information about them. The walking was at our pace and took us to some great view points and local points of interest. We are pleased we did the walk early in our stay as it gave us an insight into life in Port Douglas.

Found Chris's tour through trip advisor and were not disappointed. My husband and I stopped in Port Douglas on a cruise and wanted to do something on our own. Chris is a local and tells you all about the history, people, plants, trees and animals/birds in Port Douglas while he takes you on an about 2 hour walk. His tour finishes up in the heart of this little town. For us, having to get back to the ship in the afternoon it was perfect. We finished up just before lunch time, walked around and shopped a bit and then had lunch before heading back to the ship.

I remember your walk well, it was a very hot day for the so-called wet season. Thank you for your kind comments. We are out walking again today and it is a lot cooler after the overnight rain.

This tour was arranged prior to leaving Sydney on a cruise, Chris met us at the arranged spot & for the next two hours gave us an in depth tour of Port Douglas, his knowledge of the area was very enlightening. With a day in Port Douglas off our cruise, we (an older couple) decided on an independant walking tour and Chris was just the man! He met us close by the cruise terminal and gave us a full 2 hour tour, taking in birdlife, marine areas, housing, people, industry, local politics, weather - you name it, he could discuss it, and his local knowledge was fantastic!

We had a wonderful 2 hrs guided walk with Chris . A gentleman with great passion in Port Douglas . The most informative guided walk and we learn so much about the town . If you are just have a few hrs to spend in Port Douglas from cruising then contact Chris . He will even give 50% off to the Cruise passengers . Thank you .

What stunning weather we had for our walk together. Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our second walk. I have taken your advice and created a Facebook page for "Walk Port Douglas" and thank you for all the lovely photographs. As a cruiser myself I understand what passengers are after in their short time with us and I certainly do not mind offering a discount to cruise ships passengers.

Had a very pleasant amble around Port Douglas for a couple of hours, learning about local history and some of the historic buildings. At the same time we were able to combine with a spot of bird watching.
