Fantastic market

This market has it all. Fresh tasty food, wine shops, book stall and flower stall. We spent a good few mornings of our trip to Adelaide here. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful. We don’t have too many of these types of markets left at home so it’s always nice to visit and experience a busy thriving market. Come down in the morning before it gets too busy at lunchtime.

Fantastic place to visit and also grab some really good local produce or have a tasty fresh lunch or dinner. The Kangaroo Island Gin bar is worth a visit and a drink or two!

The delicious drama of Si Sea at The Markets.

As tourists from Canberra we made a couple of visits to the markets. We had been told about the Si Sea restaurant as a good chance to eat fresh local seafood. How right they were. The manager had just taken delivery of sparkling fresh Coffin Bay oysters. My partner could not resist and he indulged in 1/2 a dozen with a glass of white wine from a comprehensive wine list. I had the Goolwa pipies in garlic cream sauce. There was a slice of grilled bread to mop up the sauce. We booked, recommended, for Friday evening and were given excellent seats to view the drama of the wok cooking. Not an extensive menu but with great attention to detail and fresh produce.
The evening meal we enjoyed the tempura prawns, more oysters and the garlic and cream mussels with pasta.
The bar is open during market opening hours. Do yourself a favour and indulge.
You can even alight from the free bus route right outside the market.

Great to visit even on a rainy day

A fully enclosed but seemingly open market place with such a variety on offer. Plenty on offer to eat and drink; vegetables stalls without number; fresh fishmongers; butchers and cold meats; cheeses by the score - and perhaps best of all - cheap and plentiful parking. What is not to love??

I'm in love with this market. It may not be the best farmers market in terms of value. But definitely has something that others don't. I do strongly recommend to visit this market when in Adelaide

What a market!

A lot of stalls all on one floor undercover.

Multicultural, significant, appetising, colourful and generally reasonably priced.

Only a fool would miss the opportunity to browse such a wonderful market.

Amazing bustling food market, on par with the Barcelona boqueria. Sydney is definitely missing a market like this. Such an array of food, spices, fabulous fruit and vege, restaurants, spices, sweets, bread, everything you could need. So central. Loved it.
