we stayed in am amazing air BNB in South Hobart, I got lost so many times as there was a lot of 1 way streets and so many hills to go up and down

good for a gentle stroll in the sun and to visit the local markets. it seems that unless you know the area, parking is hard to find/expensive and of limited duration

περιοχή στη πόλη που έχει τα πάντα. πολύχρωμα σπίτια, καταστήματα, γραφικά στενά όλα με το ιδιαίτερο χρώμα του Χόμπαρτ. στη πόλη που ο χρόνος έχει σταματήσει και οι ρυθμοί είναι πιο χαλαροί. αν την περπατήσετε θα καταλήξετε στο λιμάνι στην προβλήτα της μεγάλης αγοράς με το πανεπιστήμιο της Τασμανίας.

Absolutely love the walks in this reserve. Great for family picnics, a bike ride and hiking. The reservoirs are stunning, especially at sunset (if on bike or foot) as the gates close at 4pm in winter). Take a walk from the end of the road up to a lookout or longer hiking trails. The loop to the lookout is only 40 mins or so though steep uphill for the best view. There is also a lovely wide dirt track along the riverlet opposite Waterworks road off Davies Road on Romilly Street. It is on the right after some flats and before the sharp turn on Romilly. It goes to the reserve on foot or bike. Such a beautiful part of Hobart.

I love South Hobart with its waterfront, interesting buildings and wonderful tours that depart from here. The air is fresh and clear, the water tastes as pure as spring water and everyone, such as the bus drivers, shop assistants and tour guides etc. are very pleasant and provide excellent customer service...very impressive!!!!!

I had a meeting at C3 church and enjoyed tea in the spacious and comfortable cafe. They have an interesting selection of books and CDs on religion and spirituality to browse. Then the Cascades track along the rivulet is delightful in all seasons. It is flat, easy and goes from the edge of the CBD to Cascades brewery, which has tours, a garden, a bar and restaurant. So you can spend a lovely day in With Hobart all year round.

Our Hobart City Tour went through South Hobart so that we could see the wrought iron work on several of the older homes. The workmanship was just incredible.

Excellent part of Hobart for restaurants,shopping and good playgrounds. Also home to Cascades female factory. Cycle or walk along the Hobart Rivulet

South Hobart is worth spending a day wondering around. LOADS of shops and resturants to choose from. The Salamanca market is a must visit if its on while you are there. Lots of unique local shops, along with a few large brands. Wear comfy shoes, you can end up walking lots and some areas have hills. Lovely park areas near by, and close to the docks. Lots of parking in the area too.
