Sitting proudly in King’s Park is this gracious memorial to the fallen. The memorial overlooks the city of Perth, with views of the Swan & Canning Rivers and the Darling Ranges.

Near the entrance to King's Park, this is a beautiful memorial with amazing views high above Central Perth
The eternal flame is set in a wide open area before the memorial which has the names of the lost soldiers from various battles cast in bronze plates.
Beautifully kept, lots of open lawns for people to sit on and a paved area behind the memorial to look down on the city and river.

A stunning and suitable memorial for guests to remember those who fought for the future that all of us enjoy today. The centre flame stays lit even late at night, which is a very fitting tribute against the beautiful city backdrop.
It was also great to see that other guests were very respectful of the memorial and sat in silence.

The State War Memorial commemorates those Western Australian service men and women who died in service or were killed in action in all wars or conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The memorial was dedicated in 1929.
It is situated on top of the Kings Park escarpment overlooking the Perth city skyline and the Swan River. One of the main features of the memorial is an 18 metre high obelisk which sits atop a concrete and brick crypt, the walls of which, inside and outside, are covered with a Roll of Honour listing the names of West Australians killed in all conflicts.
Other features of this solemn memorial precinct are The Court of Contemplation, the Flame of Remembrance and the Pool of Reflection.
Worth a look and hard to miss when visiting Kings Park.

The war memorial is a fitting tribute to those West Australians who lost their lives in major overseas conflicts. It seems appropriate that the memorial overlooks the Swan River. This is a grand and expansive view of Perth’s CBD and South Perth. It is also peaceful.

Memorial set in the most luxurious yet serene place. Totally appropriate for a memorial to honour those who served and gave up their lives for us. Such a fitting tribute to them all. Well worth the visit.
