Central Area Transit (CAT) buses are free. You may get on and off them as often as you like without paying a fare. We did not use any card, just had to be at the correct stop for each route and a coloured coded system is used for ease of identification. Drivers very helpful and advise when approaching a stop where passengers can change routes. Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we enjoy our visits to Singapore.

If you go on the Perth Tourist info site they have several self guided "walks" which list the places of interest. I simply compared the location with the bus route. The bus service is not a tourist route but for the local residents to use.

I think you only need 2 adult tickets, but for more accurate information and help, find one of the Station Assistants (who are usually near the ticket office or ticket machines) and they will be able to help you.

Blue CAT runs until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. Red and Yellow CATs run until 8pm on Friday nights.

You can get a ticket with trans Perth for all day on buses and trains for around $12 australian

$2.20 is the cash fare but you can buy other options. Prices depend on the number of zones you travel through. Public transport is free in the CBD
