Love being in this reserve, while walking around happened to come across a big boulder near the pond of the wetlands and went to visit it and was wondering if it has any significance I only say this as I noticed that it was pointing in the exact direction of Maungakiekie(One Tree Hill) and thought possibly it had a strong purpose for Tangata Whenua Maori back in the day or if it was placed there when the reserve was beautified

Car park at the Abbotts Way end of Grand Drive is convenient for the children’s play area and entrance to the wetlands loop which takes about an hour to complete on gravel paths. Most of the reserve dogs can run free as the bird life is concentrated by the water.

An amazing place for joggers & walkers and most importantly dogs! They even have their own pool even if it is always dominated by Labradors.

The reserve is a really nice walk amongst nature and wild life. There seems to be a bit of a problem though with some dog owners allowing their dog to worry other dogs and run after the wildlife- birds. Parking is easy.

well this is less than a couple of minutes away and drove past it zillions of times but this timed we stopped and walked round it was great,peaceful relaxing and great for dogs,

Beautiful wetlands, open spaces and flat walking track. A great off-leash dog park with dog swimming hole. Muddy mid-winter.

This is a great off leash exercise area for dogs - so if you dont like dogs you'd best stay away because you will encounter them. On the other hand, if you are looking to exercise your dog off leash, want a place with plenty of open spaces for them to run, and a pleasant walk for yourself .... come here!

Dieser Park inmitten von Auckland, Stadtteil Remuera, ist wunderschön gelegen.
Man kann auf einem gepflegten Rundweg spazierengehen / Joggen, mit dem Fahrrad durch den Park fahren.
Kleinere Wasserstellen ( pools ) lockern das Landschaftsbild auf.

We go here often. Love seeing the dogs swimming around the makeshift doggy pool. Easy enough for walkers and joggers can do the loop. It takes about an hour to do the loop and there is a lot of bird life in the marsh

Great park if you have a dog, wonderful for the kids to bike and scooter around as it is fairly flat. Kids can play games of hide and seek from behind the tree. Sometimes you can spot wild bunny s.would like to see play area upgraded and another toilet block. A picnic table area would be fab Also.
