This memorial on Clive Square is a well kept focal point in Napier and along with the Soundshell on Marine Parade, draw large gatherings on Rememberance Days. A place of respect for those who gave their lives during the wars. It's also next to the Saturday Market area which has many diverse traders there with food and drinks which can be taken to the grassed areas in the memorial area to partake of as a picnic.
So enjoy, but don't forget.

to colonialism is questionable. That aside. lovely green space in a beautiful city. Runs through to Clive Sq. which is a total gem.

We came across the memorial while walking around town. The memorial was in the middle of the square with paths that led to it. It was located beside Clive Square Garden. It was quite close to the town area. The area itself isn't very big but was very clean and tidy. It was lit up at night too. A nice place to stop by to look at the ANZAC memorial.

I like this Square at lower Emerson St..nice place for lunch or picnic..have enjoyed the Friday evening Fiesta evenings with street food and local entertainment

We took a tour and stopped at the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park. This is a must see stop. There is a hidden soldier in the tree on the ground. The sites are a memory to people that were in the service. Thank you all

Memorial Square is the home of the ANZAC War Memorial, all paths lead to the centrally placed Cenotaph, a monument built to honour WW1 and WW2 soldiers. It is a short walk away from Clive Square in Napier CBD.

Memorial Square sits alongside Clive Square, but the feeling is quite different. The Cenotaph is erected there which is to commemorate the fallen soldiers of WW1. Mostly grassed area, I think it mostly is used for ceromonial purposes.
