A nicest view ,is when you drive upon the hill with a guide of the Maoris ,he is Dennis brings you to the top of the hill and you have an amazing view over the two lakes Lake Rotorua and Lake Rotoiti

Nice place where we stopped for lunch but do not forget to protect you from sand flies. Horrible. One week after the itch was always there.

Lungo la strada che porta a Tauranga, prima di arrivare alle Okere Falls, è bene fermarsi ad ammirare il Lake Rotoiti,uno dei tanti laghetti vulcanici della NZ.
Anche questo merita una sosta, anche di poco tempo per ammirare il panorama e fotografare le sue sponde.

Stunning inland water

Yes, it’s a long way from anywhere but that therein lies its charm. With only the most basic facilities plus a charming water taxi service, this is an ideal place to swim,sail, walk, unwind. Only downside is the the presence of sand flies and some hungry ducks and seagulls. Bring a picnic and hang out with locals and visitors alike.

Da questo meraviglioso piccolo laghetto godrete della vista delle montagne innevate sullo sfondo. Noterete accanto al piccolo pontile una barca taxi che fa anche noleggio di kayak per pochi dollari l’ora. Approfittatene assolutamente, potendo salire senza particolare abbigliamento e anche con le vostre scarpe. Non ha infatti prezzo trovarsi in mezzo a questo placido lago con una vista assolutamente pazzesca. Uno dei luoghi più incredibili del nostro viaggio.

A friend of ours took us for a ride on his boat on lake rotoiti and took us on an island that had a few mineral pools. Then after our food took us around the lake, i was impressed on how beautiful and big it really is. this was the ideal ws to travel around Rotoiti
