Custom Tour for four Americans

Scenic Pacific, in Christchurch, helped us design a 22-day custom tour of the South Island for four people -my wife and I and another couple. After asking us what we were interested in seeing/doing in New Zealand, our agent- Lisa Smith - put together a package that included airport connections, hotels, tours, bus, ferry and shuttle connections. We stayed in rain forests, cities, mountains; rode buses, ferries, trains, trolleys, boats and cars; hiked mountain trails, swam in turquoise waters, toured cities, gardens and caves, walked in gardens, crossed swinging bridges and drifted in flooded caves beneath a ceiling of glow worms. When we missed a connection (our fault), Lisa put it all back together - remotely, on her day off. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience - in NZ, and with Scenic Pacific.

Highly recommend - Great experience, excellent customer service

We booked a 10-day independent tour of the south island. Sophie worked with us in recommending an itinerary and then everything was in the very capable hands of Scenic Pacific Travel! We received our itinerary and vouchers and it all worked perfectly: inter-city coach and tour coach bus service, taxis, all hotels and the specific tours we booked. There was a last-minute change needed due to unexpected flooding and Sophie and team reached out to us proactively and modified our trip - we heard other travelers struggling with re-booking and making last minute changes and we had no issues at all thanks to Scenic Pacific Travel. If you want to enjoy your time in New Zealand, not stress out about driving or booking hotels, and maintain your independence so you are not stuck in a big tour group, then booking an independent tour is the way to go! Highlights for us: Aoraki Mount Cook and the Glacier Explorer Tour, spending time in Queenstown, and taking the TranzAlpine train from Christchurch to Greymouth.

Highly Recommended....Excellent Service...Look No Further

We just came back from a lovely NZ trip. We used Scenic Pacific Travel to arrange our tour packages : Hobbiton and Waitomo Experience and the 7 Day Glaciers, Lakes & Night Sky Independent tour. From the moment we emailed this company for initial inquiry up to the very end of our journey, they were closely in touched and always ready to assist us. They were prompt with email responses, every thing was well organized and clearly explained: itinerary, timing, method of payments, what to expect, what to bring, what to wear. The service they provided to us exceeded way beyond our expectation. They were also flexible and very accommodating , so if you do not find any activities you wish to do or places to go in the prearranged tour packages they offer, do not hesitate to inquire. All the pick up times and pick up points were precise. If there are any cancellation of activity you enlisted due to weather condition, have no concern, they will take care of the refund process in a very timely manner. I will highly recommend this tour company to friends and relatives who wish to visit NZ but do not want to do their own driving or do not want to be bothered arranging a NZ itinerary themselves. Look no further, this is absolutely an excellent tour company in NZ. Thanks Monique!!!!!

New Zealand South 8 days Tour

We altogether 7 adults with 2 kids(4yo & 9yo) planning to Visit South New Zealand in Mid December 2019. Arriving Christchurch and departing Queenstown. We plan to hire a car with driver with our own plan tour. Kindly advice/ suggest what I can cover for that 7 nights south tour. Thank you.

A Great Experience - Tour & Service

We took the 5 day South Island Tour out of Christchurch. It was awesome! The scenery was amazing...great accommodations...a great experience! The tour was only surpassed by the attitudes and actions of Sophie & Monique. Sophie "went the extra mile" to ensure we had prompt and full responses prior to, after booking and while on tour. Monique came to our rescue when an emergency necessitated a change during the tour. We highly recommend this tour and thank these ladies for their wonderful, professional and caring service.

Toured the South Island for 8 days seeing awesome sights

Scenic Pacific helped in arranging our amazing trip , we were fetched and carried with the utmost professional ,friendly & knowledgeable coach drivers .Saw some of the most spectacular scenery , from Glaciers to crystal clear rivers & lakes and waterfalls flowing down mountains . Stayed overnight on Milford Sound - words can not express how wonderful it was. Queenstown lived up to its title as adventure capital - what fun we had . Well done . We shall definitely be back and Scenic Pacific will again assist in booking our next adventure

Just done tour of New Zealand , visited Dunedin went to get the vintage coastal train but missed it so toured round the station the sports museum is amazing then in to town lots to see had lunch in one of the many bars round the triangle area 👌great visit but try catch the train , Louis Manchester.

Fabulous tour of key NZ South Island sights

From the moment I was in email dialogue with Lisa at Scenic Pacific I knew we were in safe hands and going to have a great time.My husband and I had booked a 3 week trip to New Zealand incorporating 4 days in Sydney, Aus at the end. We booked with Trail Finders but they didn't have a tour in the South Island that worked for us as we only had 5 days (3 nights). I found Scenic Pacific on the internet and booked as they offered such flexibility and covered the main sights that we wanted in the time scale we had.
The coach drivers were superb. They had loads of knowledge and gave the right balance of commentary to periods of quiet time on the coach. We felt safe at all times with their driving.
Our trips included Franz Joseph Glacier, Milford Sound, Lake Tekapo (simply breathtaking), Mt Cook, Queenstown, Trans Alpine train journey. But we covered so many places where we stopped and had time for a break and enjoy the stunning vistas.
Accommodation was basic but that's what we opted for as our main focus was the tour.
I cannot recommend this tour and company enough.

Very Well Organized

I went to New Zealand combining some work and some vacation. I told Scenic Pacific exactly what I needed and they came up with a customized tour for me that was perfect. They gave me vouchers and informed me where to be and when. I was ALWAYS picked up on time and the bus drivers knew where I needed to be dropped off. I loved the Great Sights bus drivers, they told us about the areas we were driving through and were a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend Scenic Pacific Travel they are very professional and easy to deal with.
