With a lot attention to detail arranged walled garden. Helpful staff is giving explanations. During time of harvesting one can purchase fresh veggies and fruits

We visited Tintern twice in our week in the area and did walking trails both times. They are the real highlight. We also visited the garden, which is a delight. The abbey itself was largely closed but we could explore a little - this was interesting for us because the mother abbey at Tintern in the Forest of Dean is not far from where we live. One other treat - the tea room was closed, but the chap who ran that was operating a pop-up snack bar with hot drinks, brioches, and divine (take it from me) home-made cakes.
If we lived in the area, somewhere on the Hook peninsula, we would explore the trails at Tintern all year round. It is a lovely spot in every respect.

The garden is a place of tranquility and beauty with its own microclimate. It has a magical atmosphere, nestled as it is in beautiful woodland so near Tintern Abbey. Paul the head gardener has done stunning planting in the big borders. We were greeted by two lovely gents and given apples from the many apple trees in the garden. It is a real gem.

Well worth a visit and helpful staff, although the inside of the abbey is sadly closed at the moment this a must do on your visit to west wexford.

Definitely well worth the fee, it is a fantastic garden, really beautifully restored, and because it was July the kitchen garden section was really great to walk around.

We didn't really go with the intention of visiting but sure glad we did. It is such a lovely little hideaway and so well looked after.

Such a lovely surprise on visiting Tintern Abbey. It was almost like a hidden garden tucked away in the Forest. The walk was lovely to the gardens and entrance fee was really reasonable. Although Autumn is setting in, the garden was still spectacular. I can only imagine it is in the height of the Summer. The staff working in the gardens were very friendly and informative. Definitely worth visiting.
