We always love stopping off at the library museum. It might be a small town but there are always interesting and unique displays. A worthwhile stop for anyone travelling through Albury.

My family went here to this museum to see the "Underworld Mugshots from the roaring twenties" exhibition, and it was a great experience! I've learnt about the different criminals that once lived and i found it very fascinating! there was a great documentary that compared different criminal cases, which was also really cool to watch! There was a book with original cases, and there were clothes in the style of the twenties on a coat hanger, that you could put on and immerse yourself into the era. I would recommend for teens to explore and time travel back to the 1920s!

A very well presented and informative display which provides an interest overview of the history of some of Albury's institutions, streets and particularly very well known sporting locals, known in Australia and in some cases World wide.

the library was built in the last couple of years and incopporates some art exhibitions

Lots to do at this exciting place in the heart of Albury. The Crossing Place Museum has enough there to fill in an hour or more and learn something about our indigenous culture as well as some great info on Bonegilla and the first wave of migrants to come to the area. Then the library itself has papers to read and a huge range of magazines to browse. The internet is free as well and the staff are really helpful if you have any questions. The Retro Cafe is just down the hallway if you need a coffee and a snack or a light meal.

I cannot explain just how mind numbingly boring this place is,
About 10 years ago while showing an interstate family member around and we visited the "Museum" Well I had the recent misfortune of taking them back.
It was particularly embarrassing for them to point out the same exhibitions that had been there 10 years before.
Dont waste your time, find someone painting a wall and watch that dry, far more interesting

Having been attending the ALM for a number of years.Today I required some extra help from staff. On how to use the scanner etc. Two female staff showed me in a very simple way I could remember for next time. Also at the library people can use computers for up to 2 hrs with a library card. The ALM is very big complex with 12 PCs Free Wifi Quiet rooms available for people. Closed to CBD and coffee shops. Very clean and user friendly. I feel welcome all the time.Highly recommended for visitors and locals.

As I had some time to kill before work, and as I am a history buff, I decided to drop in for a look around Albury’s library & museum. The library is quite modern and open planned, much like the one we have at home in Shellharbour. I spent a good hour looking around the museum, which tells the indigenous history of the area, as well as that after European settlement. There are plenty of displays on show, with some being interactive. Overall, it was a pleasant and interesting way to spend an hour before work.

The library space is welcoming with easy computer access. This is a relatively new building with an exhibition space which complements the nearby Art Gallery and Performing Arts centre.
Interesting exhibition featuring costumes from the film The Dressmaker on this month. Worth a visit.
