I wasn’t too sure when visiting here if I would enjoy it or not. I was surprised and impressed! I learned heaps about motorsport and the history of ‘The Mountain’.
I was impressed at how many race cars, bikes and memorabilia was under one roof! Wandered through at own leisure and didn’t rush- go bc at your own pace. Staff member engaged with us when we saw a car and were talking about seeing it on by tv, but seeing it in real life.
Will visit again in the future- was told that display gets added to regularly

Staff state that 70% of the items on display are changed each year so every visit should be fresh. Mainly from the Australian motor-racing scene there are a few cars and motorbikes known outside these shores. An enthusiast's dream, even if you don't have much motor-racing or engineering knowledge.

Totally interesting about the cars, motorbikes, drivers and events. So much to see and read. Very comprehensive, enjoyable for all ages. A must see and do.

So firstly I am not really a car enthusiast but ... I really enjoyed my time here. I have watched many Bathurst races and actually remember some of these cars racing! I have also watched the Repco Reliability Trials ( and even saw one re-enacted in recent years) ... I think there is something about the roar of the engines, the crowd cheering them on, the dust, the fumes, the noise ... it all just adds to the atmosphere of races.
So wandering in here it's like turning time back... all of those cars from my youth, from my days of watching the race...of the times when Brocky was a household name. It all just hits you when you are here.
There are some amazing cars and plenty to see, information boards, videos, trophies, busts... it tells the story of racing in Australia.
I had a few standouts... I loved the red open wheeler... classic from another era. The toranas... didn't everyone own one of these once? AND to make matters worse... I thought the 2016 Mc Laren 650S GT3 was pretty! Sacrilegious you say??? No... nothing like a pretty car. :)

So disappointed that we couldn’t visit this museum as part of our road trip. If visiting during Bathurst 100, You needed a ticket to the race to be able to enter the museum. I understand why, due to its location, however we were there three days before the race and weren’t allowed in. You might want to check this if you are going around this time of year. Not sure how long they shut to general public.

A lot of the V8 Supercars you will recognise from their race days.

We visited this museum the day before Fathers Day. They have many vehicles that have been driven/ridden around the circuit over the years.A good walk around for the Great Race Lovers…

Highly recomend, family friendly prices, so much history and infomation and huge variety on display. We also learnt that they change the display regularly!
