We have always enjoyed going to Port beach as it’s a large beach where there is plenty of space for everyone so you don’t feel overcrowded. There is ample parking and having the pool right next to the beach is brilliant as you can go for a swim in the pool if the beach is too rough. There is a great kiosk also. If we get the chance when we are in the Wollongong area we go to this beach if we feel like a swim. There are plenty of great beaches in the Illawarra and Port Kembla is one of the good ones.

Nice water, shallow with only broken waves while I was there but such a nice long stretch of isolated quiet steep sand with road access hidden at one end, plus a pool at that end if you don't like the water.

very long beach - great for long strolls. very floury and fluffy soft sand (as are most beaches in the wollongong/shellhabour area). Great pools, heaps of parking, licensed restaurant open late, pet friendly sections, picturesque area, very clean water.

在卧龍崗住了一晚，就住在Novotel，酒店對面就是這個beach，海岸線也不短，人不會很多，沙和水都美，還有海水泳池，潮漲時海水湧入泳池，泡在水中能感受海浪的起伏，但又不怕被充出大海，很有趣呢，真想再去玩一次！

Have been going Port Kembla Beach for ever......its truely fantastic... the beach goes on for miles. The water here is so clear and great for swimming or surfing. It has good parking - but be prepared for a bit of a walk on a beautiful day as all the locals will be here first. Amenities are good as it has toilets, showers and a Kiosk and coffee shop for ice creams and coffee. AND if the surf is too rough, the Olympic Pool is beautiful and the kids pool has shade cloth !!! Great for everyone......

A clean beach for swimming or simply to walk along. Very long and clean, if lucky can sometimes see dolphins in the waves. Also has a Cafe near the carpark.

Port Kembla Beach is a really nice patrolled beach with a good wave. We parked near the Olympic Pool but late realised there was also parking up the top at the Surf Life Savings Club.
The beach was nice and sandy and clean with easy access. While we were there a surf school for young kids turned up which was great to see. There is an amenity block near the Olympic Pool complex as well as the Olympic Boulevard Eatery if you want some coffee or a bite to eat.

Another spectacular beach on the NSW south coast....great for a long beach walk and swimming can get a bit rough....watch out for rips...
