There is much to see here and it is a pleasant walk through the Reserve by the sea. We spent time looking over the Tide Gauge and the historic anchor, before heading off for lunch nearby

On the waterfront and flanked by food places and shops, the Reserve is a welcome spot to take a break. It has extensive lawns, seats, shelter, a playground, and a visitor information centre with public toilets attached. The ferry dock is here, plus other historic sites.

Originally known as "the Mud Flats." Commonwealth Reserve was created from mud dredged from the Bay between 1880 and 1930. Commonwealth Reserve has a number of relics from Williamstown's seafaring past. It's a good place for a picnic.

This park is adjacent to the foreshore near Gems Pier and also home to the tourist information centre.
There is a bandstand near the entrance and at the far end of the park is a play area, a stone Tide Gauge building and a massive anchor from HMVS Nelson. There are plenty of benches dotted around the park so you can find sun and shade with good views of Melbourne. The toilets are located by the tourist information centre.

Historic park near the pier. Has a large anchor from HMS Nelson in one corner. The largest wooden ship ever built for the Royal Navy. Large band stand too.

A well maintained park next to the harbour and lots of food choices. Obviously popular, large grassed area, bandstand, seats.

The Commonwealth Reserve is larger than most parks in the area. Situated right on the water, there are a number of shady trees, paths, seating and grassed spaces for a picnic.

A great place for a picnic. Located in the heart of Williamstown, surrounded by old buildings, and even a number of interesting things to check out. Even has an old battle ship at the pier.

Commonwealth Reserve is a pleasant park adjacent to Gem Pier and borderd by Nelson Place with its old buildings and fairly tacky restaurants and shops.The park provides excellent views of the city, has a rotunda, an old drinking fountain and a Visitor Information Centre that opens sometimes. It also has toilet facilities.
