I enjoyed wandering around and looking at the art made by local people. The work was reasonably priced. I particularly enjoyed the special exhibition by three people who have completed their education and were having a joint display.

I live nearby and frequent the area every day. The bicycle trail is also directly behind it as it runs along the Murray River. The Gallery itself is beautiful and displays absolutely brilliant local talent (which I am not one of them!).

The GIGS gallery is a great place where local artists showcase their work..! It is always a pleasure to stop by and see who is exhibiting, plus the atmosphere of the Gateway Village offers so much more to look at too..!

Beautiful woodwork and art. Purchased a beautiful chopping board for our new kitchen as a souvenir and the staff even wrapped it up to protect it in the way home.

This is a medium sized complex with different buildings housing different kinds of art works and community groups.
I bought a few reasonably priced items from the woodcrafters. Hubby and I enjoyed walking through the gallery spaces of the other artists. Even better were the signs on the studio door of the artist welcoming us to have a look inside her creative work spaces. I felt a bit like an intruder but at the same time loved the experience.
Another highlight was the sustainability centre which houses the repair cafe where all sorts of activity was going on with people helping others to mend and repair their damaged clothing or bicycles etc.
There is also a cafe on-site - The Maison Cafe.

Gigs is a good place to view and purchase art and also drop into the neighbouring Rainbow Collective shop run by local artists.
The restaurant in the same precinct also serves great food and coffee. A great place to stop relax and also great views of the Murray River right out back.
