Leider habe ich den Namen unseres Guides wie auch des Kapitäns vergessen, aber: Beide bewegten sich auf sicherem Terrain und kannten die Gegend wie ihre Westentasche. Was wir alles zu sehen bekamen, war grandios. Krokodile, Brüll-, Kapuziner- und Totenkopfaffen, Schlangen, sehr viele verschiedene Vögel, ein Faultier, viele Pflanzen. Alles wurde ausführlich und interessant erklärt. Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht.
Mit uns reiste ein sehr junges, sehr verliebtes Paar, das wenig Interesse an der Tour bekundete, sich dafür anhimmelte und mit Selfies beschäftigte. Eine Art Randshow...
Die Sierpe und Esteroazul Tour kann ich wärmstens empfehlen!

Fantastic! You will love it!

Fantastic! This is the best way to see all the wildlife you completely miss on your own. (Plus since you are not hiking—which means carefully watching where you step—you can spend all of your time looking at flora and fauna.) Our guide, Kenner, knew an unbelievable amount about everything: he knew the difference between the monkey’s warning call for a predator in the trees versus a predator on land (and was thus able to find a couple of boa constrictors wrapped around tree branches). We saw monkeys, crocodiles, birds, bats, caimans and more. Kenner clearly loves the land and the river and cares deeply about protecting it. When we saw plastic bottles washing out of someone’s yard, he let them know about it, and then he picked them all up out of the water to protect the environment and the animals. His knowledge was astounding—you can ask him anything and he will have a comprehensive answer! After the tour was over, when he was leaving, Kenner saw that we were still at our car because the lockbox we used for our car key was jammed and wouldn’t open. He took the time to go back inside and look for a tool to help us pry it open. Thank you, Kenner!

Wonders from the comfort of a river boat

We did a three hour mangrove tour with this company and it was marvellous! We are a family of five, two adults and three kids 10, 13 and 15 and they all enjoyed it. It was good to give them a break from hiking in the heat and relaxing on the river whilst our guide pointed out interesting plants and trees as well as plenty of wildlife. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we were in a small group with just two others so we could all ask questions and learned a lot. Our driver was brilliant and got us up close to the animals without the experience feeling invasive. Would highly recommend this company.

Une ballade dans la mangrove très agréable. Le guide était très compétant, de bonnes explications détaillées.
Je recommande vraiment Kokopelli.

Wonderful tour of the mangroves!

We had Carlos as our guide and he was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable! We saw everything there was to see on this mangrove tour - over 20 types of birds, 3 kinds of monkeys, and crocodiles of all sizes. Beautiful flora as well. Our brave captain - Gerardo even got out of the boat to push us whence our pontoon boat got stuck (it’s shallow) several times. We really enjoyed ourselves. I’d highly recommend this tour!

Awesome tour!

Outstanding tour, great guide (Carlos), so knowledgeable, patient, and how the hell he spotted most the animals I don’t know. We saw so many monkeys, absolutely spoilt! Would recommend to anyone, just bring sunblock and also the morning tour on Sunday was maybe the best one to do.

Tour fait en janvier 2023
Tour qui coûtait 68 $ par personne. Le tour n'était pas privatif pour 2 personnes. Le guide. n'était pas compétent et agaçant.
Je ne recommande pas.

Best Tour of the trip!

We were in Costa Rica last week, Jan. '23, and we visited Tortuguero. It was a great experience, but we did not see many animals. We visited Manuel Antonio Park and had a great tour, but we didn't see many animals. Finally, we were preparing to leave, and we did the Sierpe Mangrove Tour--and we saw tons of animals! We saw a troop of monkeys, cavorting through the trees, a monster croc as well as a tiny baby, a boa constrictor curled up in the trees, a caiman, a scarlet macaw, and more. It was a great value, and we were so happy to see all that we did. Wish we had started out there!

Nous avons vu beaucoup d especes et appris plein de choses. Le guide parle très bien anglais. Je tenais à le faire cette activité, mes attentes etaient hautes. Pas decue par tant de splendeur….

We had an awesome tour. Our guide spotted so much we were nearly always busy looking at the various animals, birds, etc. He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to give us a great experience. Highly recommend this tour!
